Close-up photos of glacier silver trim?

Anybody have close-ups of it? It's hard to tell from the interior photos what kind of texture it has. I like the slight texture to the aluminum in the Audi interiors though.

These pics probably will give you the best impression of it. Having seen both in person, the brushed aluminum is much much better though.

Edit: (PS! I've just seen this was my 135th post - hope that's a positive omen)

Doesn't do anything for me. I would have been all over brushed aluminum though.

Hmmm... not my preference, but it might still go with Terra better than glossy black. I would like brushed AL better too.

The problem with that texture is that it makes the metal seem less like metal. It looks more like molded plastic.

I bet aftermarket trim kits for the 135 are going to be rather popular in the US in a year or two.
The cashmere silver trim you can configure on the german site looks pretty good too.

This is the one thing I'm pissed about with my order (well actually there are 2 things, but thats another story which I have raised on other posts). We do get the brushed aluminum here and that is what I ordered. When I decided to add the sport pack (to get the 261 style rims) I was told that I had to take the glacier trim as this was the standard trim for the sports pack - so as a trade off I settled for glacier.

I now see in the latest brochure that I could have taken brushed with the sport pack as a N/C option

Funny you mention that. I remember that as a kid, we had aluminum ice cube trays made out of aluminum with that pattern on them. You know, the old fashioned kind with the handle on the top to break the cubes free...

Why don't all countries get the same trim options?

Who is the one that decides that North America doesn't need brushed aluminum?

They hire consultants who conduct focus groups and culture-based mass psychological analysis, and as usual they f*ck everything up...

I have to say that I actually like it. It looks nice and substantial. It seems that I'm in the minority though.

I agree, thats why I went with aluminium. Black trim w/ a black interior is a lot of black.

There is carbon fibre trim in the BMW Performance add-ons.
