There won't be any significant cost-savings to be realized with aftermarket solutions -- even replacement rotor rings for PFCs/ST/AP cost about as much as the stock rotors. It's possible that longevity will be better with aftermarket rotors due to better cooling and less cracking from cross-drilled hoes, though.

I got new rotors all around 1 month before warranty was up, couldn't have timed it better. I am planning to go with Frozen Rotors when they are used up. Should get 2-3 sets of pads per set of rotors with proper cryo-treatment. That is probably the best bang for the buck.

The cooler you can keep the pads and rotors the longer they will last. High quality rotors will be fine for street duty. PFC two-piece is great if you track and want to stay with the OEM calipers.

I wish someone made a cooling duct kit. As much as I would love to fab it myself, I just don't have that kind of time.

Would the PFC friction ring last longer than the OEM rotors, all things being equal?

Presumably the higher vane count should keep things cooler. That's the prevailing CW anyway.

MDORPHN a while back had taken a dremel to modify the bumper to accommodate cooling ducts but everything I've read suggests that ducting is a pain to manage on a street car.

Yes, they stay cooler and are made in a true two piece design to allow expansion and contraction. They are also lighter.
