Took mine to dealer today to do the PCV recall. But how can I know if they did it??

Drop off my 128i 2010 at the dealer today to do PCV valve recall.
But I don't believe them because I had bad experiences with them and the whole place feels like scam how can I know if they really did the job?

ask for the old one...however recalls mean they keep the part and send it back to BMW, but ask just to see it if possible.
