I believe so, but I can't say for sure that the OEM spring rates are the same between the M3 and 1M. Could probably pop over to realoem.com and verify part#s for the springs.

As a point of reference, the same Ohlins R/T DFV coilover kit was initially released for both the M3 and 1M. Eventually, a slightly different bespoke kit was released for the 1M, which included a different rear spring rate and slightly modified compression shim stack.

What he said . . . Also, when people installed the Ohlin's M3 kit on the 1M, the instructions for ride height adjustment were written for the M3. If followed precisely, the 1M drop would be less than desired. I would assume that the M3 springs could make the 1M look "lifted".

Question is, why use M3 springs?

I have e92 m3 subframes on my 135i and i really need some lowering springs because it will look much better. Car is higher then normaln, but ok for drive, no body roll.

Thanks guys.

I was on coilovers when it started leaking so switched to Blistein B8's with eibach pro springs. It's way too soft and bouncy for me so trying to find a stiffer spring. Only for the M3 there's a H&R race spring so was wondering if it would work..

Have you looked into Swift springs? You can order just about any spec.

Harold @ HPA I think is a dealer and has a ton of experience with them so it may be worth looking him up to bounce ideas off of.

Sure they will. Profile is the same, but will result in a higher riding car for sure as axle weights are different between the M3 and the 1M.

I might be confused. I was trying to say that M3 people were installing swift springs on their cars without a coilover setup.

Yes, Spec R is available for the M3, but NOT for the 1M.
