Contintental Comfort Kit purchase in Canada?

Anyone know where to buy a Continental Comfort Kit in Canada and for how much $$? It helps you inflate and seal a punctured tire on the side of the road. Useful for those of us running non-RFTs, especially with winter coming.

Unfortunately Tire Rack has indicated they will not ship this product to Canada.

tire repair kit

I understand that Airman repair kit is the manufacturer of the Continental kit. Cdn tire has the airman kit for $50 regular price.

I was looking to get the airman one also, looks physically identical from the pics and is $50 at CT although I couldn't find one in the store so far.

Not sure why they won't ship it to you, I had this kit shipped to me in Canada from TireRack in August, together with 4 winter wheels and tyres.

Thanks guys, I'll check the Airman out. Tire Rack was strange. It says on their site they won't ship outside the US, and their customer service told me the same, but I can add it to my shopping cart and calculate the shipping charges. Didn't want to charge my credit card if it was going to end up being a problem etc.

After reading some other posts I'm wondering if I should buy a spare tire or a spare tire kit (tire + jack) as well given that if I have major damage (ie, car isn't driveable) and its outside dealership hours I could get stranded without a car (BMW roadside assistance is just going to tow to the closed dealership right?) Any ideas?

The airman works well, speaking from personal experience with my 1980 Corvette.

Any thoughts on where to get a spare tire that will fit a 128i guys?

Reviving a dead thread...

I ended up getting the Airman, and had to use it for the first time today. Pulled out of my driveway and immediately felt that the car was a bit sluggish...throttle just wasn't reacting very well but there were no weird noises or indicators that there was an engine problem. I had just come out of a 2006 G35x (AWD) with an auto tranny so I figured maybe I had gotten too used to the sensitive throttle in that car (plus gobs of torque) so it was just my imagination.

5 minutes down the road the tire pressure monitoring system light comes on full red. Pulled over, checked my tires and found the rear passenger tire had 15psi in it. Anyway I was 5 mins away from a tire repair centre that was open on a Sunday (Active Green + Ross) so I just used the airman to inflate the tire, no sealant. Worked like a charm, was very fast, and I had my tire repaired in no time. Turned out it was a paper clip that punctured the tread (Michelin Xi2)...what are the odds of that? Guess I'm now avoiding driving near construction sites AND office buildings

Next time it happens and I'm farther from a repair centre I'll try the sealant...

The reason why TireRack won't ship the ContiComfortKit to Canada, according to the rep I spoke with, is because the sealant contains chemicals that will cause declaration problems at the border. I had to resort to having it shipped to my sister-in-law's house in the US and then bringing it back into Canada myself following a visit with her family. Needless to say I did not specifically declare that item on my way back through customs. My kit has an expiry date of Nov 2013, so I have a few years to go before I have to go through this hassle again... hopefully by then it'll be more accessible in Canada.

The funny thing is I don't even have my 1 yet (March production on order), just planning ahead. BTW, if anyone in the Ottawa area wants a really good deal on a set of barely used OEM 18" runflats for a 135i come early May, let me know!

p.s. I've looked for the airman at CT as well in the past... could never find it.
