Here is sample image the factory snapped of the 18x9" et42 wheel. Terrible picture quality but at least the angle doesn't make the wheel look convex. UPS shows the 18x9.5" wheel is scheduled to arrive today, I hope it's not signature required. It's not posted yet on UPS, but I should have this 18x9" wheel by tomorrow I believe.

Sorry about that. A number of other things came up that made it difficult to upload and edit the images (including having to go pick up the 18x9" sample). I had to set up a temporary photo booth outside and the wind kept blowing it down
Here are the photos of the 18x9.5" et62 wheel in Anthracite |

THANK YOU EDDY!
Money shot is this one though! Love the "cup" (hub) being as shallow as it is for maximum concavity. Good job. Please mark me down as a definite hyper black. I have wheels in that anthracite color right now, but the RGR color is timeless. |

Here are samples of the 18x9" et42 in Satin Black. It didn't photograph well today since I was outside. But you can make out most of the details. Notice that the center hub is pressed in more. The 18x8.5" front will be pushed in maybe 4-5mm more then the 9.5" rear wheel. They'll probably weight about the same too. These will EASILY be the lightest 1 series wheels that don't need stretched rubber or 4x4 suspensions to make it fit. It's Saturday tomorrow, but I'm going to go into the office and get these onto a scale to post up the weight of these samples. There is a good chance that all the wheels will have to be revised during the testing/certification phase. Which would result in an increase in weight. So these are only estimates of what final production will be. But they are close. |

how many different widths/offsets are there? i see mention of 8.5", 9" and 9.5" - yet the original post only mentions one for front and one for rear - which is it?

Very nice. The closest fit in drag tires I can find are 265/40's. I bet that would work with these wheels on our cars, for sure if not lowered.

There are 5 fitments of the 18" ARC-8 wheel being released. Only two of them are for the 1 series (18x8.5" front, 18x9.5" rear). I posted the 18x9" so that people could see what Satin black looks like. I have not received the 18x8.5" and other sized samples yet.

There's a chance with aggressive rolling that you could make a 285/35/18 Nitto drag tire fit. I have a feeling 265 with fit with extreme ease on these wheels. We'll find out soon.

Eddy, the 18x10 will be available at the same time? Sorry to everyone else on the irrelevance of this question. It is only relevant to me I am afraid!

It's supposed to be. I'm getting those samples shortly. They can only load 1 wheel mold into their machine at a time, so I'm getting them as they produce their test batches.

Pricing is listed on the apex site and in the commercial section. I don't want to post pricing info into the general discussion section of the forums

Thanks for the bump arrutled. I was unable to get into work over the weekend as I honest spent about 30 hours in front of the computer doing book keeping. I'll have weights posted up in a few hours And I believe I will know the results of the strenght test on these first two sizes in the next few days, unless I misinterpreted their email.

I'll post pictures in a minute.
18x9.5" et62 sample weighted in at 17.7lbs We'll see if it passes certification as is. Personal experience shows it can take an extra 1lbs of material to get things to pass sometimes. Although I have very high hopes for this extra high offset, since it puts very little load onto the spokes due to the low angle. No reason to speculate further at this time. for comparison the 18x9" et42 sample (NON1 SERIES FITMENT)wheel weights in at 18.4lbs since there is added hub material. I was going to powder coat my wheels black...but if I can get a lighter than stock wheel that fits just the same as stock in black then I'll wait for that instead.
