Those are some cool jackets indeed. BMW had an ///M parka available a few year's back. I bought one in 2 colors - Imola Red and LeMans blue Often would even ski with them on a warm spring day. And of course always wear them on Audi meets to mess up with those chaps. LOL

I generally prefer a "special edition" color when offered, but the VO is too similar to the orange Eclipses & Chevy HHR's I see running aournd here, so that has spoiled it for me. I love how black looks when clean, it's just too much effort for me to keep them looking clean. White is boring to me, but that's what I orderd since it's the lesser of 3 evils.

I think when higher res photos of BSM appear, it will rise in popularity.

But hey, I would say that, I've ordered black!

I would say Valencia Orange based on the fact that this colour best distinguishes the Motorsport element to this car & also matches the orange stitching on the interior. It is a bit larey but so is a 500nm car! I also think that Valencia Orange best accentuates the lines of the car and lets you see instantly what the designers have strived to achieve. If a CSL version was available with a Carbon Fibre roof and CSL decals I would probably go for Alpine White but that is a whole different story.

Just had to look "larey" up. Urban dictionary says "rowdy". Absolutely!!

I think that VO is a little bit "all eyes on me"-style but if it looks great, I will so absolutely go for it. Can't wait to see it in person next week. 2 x 3.5h drive, who cares!!

With the orange stitching inside, it's definitely the way to go from a designer's view of perspective and I like that. I just hope it'll look good and not too(oo) flashy. Otherwise I'll choose AW. But nothing to loose here, also looks fantastic!

I would be very interested in your opinion as I have no way of seeing the colours side by side or individually until it is too late. It would be good to get a verdict from someone that has actualy seen the colours!

The only good about VO is that the orange reflectors are more subtle.

Sure! I'll open up a thread and write my opinion there. I'm really curious how flashy the VO will be, I hope not too much.

And I'll try my best to get the colour right

The best about VO is that it's not black or white

M3 CSL only had 2 colours Steel Grey & Saphire Black so maybe we should consider ourselves lucky? Personally I feel that by having limited colours it makes the car more special!

For real. Space grey would work well with the orange stitching of the interior.

Great graphic!

Too much white, but still a great choice for the 1M

;-) Yes of course it is! If automakers show more white cars, it's because there is a huge demand. And black cars are not so far behind.

It's still a bit audacious and or cheeky to use an orange car for an everyday usage.

I really did not know where to stick this... so I thought here would make a good spot. I read today on the German 1er forum the post bellow... using Google's translator...

Today I participated in a tour the BMW plant in Leipzig and have all three colors (though only from a distance) can see. When pure parked in front of me walking in a VO (Erprobungsfahrzeu) and I can only beiflichten Thorsten. VO looks kind of like copper or rust brown, if the sun shines on it and the hot rod is trimmed to a shine. I will stay with my order AW, the rims to black - I like it

Greetings

And someone else posted these two photos of a UK 1M... You can see that the VO really looks dark when the sun is not out.
