In my country, every construction worker van, delivery van, flourist van, bakery van, ... well pretty much every van is white.
If they all were black, it would be a lot easier for me to choose white for my 1M as well.

+1 haha!

the only bad part about white, to me, is the white/black/orange/red/blue theme going on. at least with black or VO, you have some consistency between the interior and outside. white just leaves you with a ton of mismatched stuff, although it looks great from the outside.

i sort of agree. i think the contrast between the white outside and the black and orange inside is really going to make this car pop. Its 100% going to add a little life to the white color. the introductin of blue and red in the m steering wheel is what i think is going to look bad. that being said i am going to pick up a full alcantera wheel and have the center stripe done in orange

Anyone want to sway me to the dark (orange) side?!

I'd say black. White would be second. Wouldn't really be interested in driving an orange car.

I like to look stealth. BSM seems to be the most stealth looking. But AW does look very sharp.

Garage List
Interesting to see the evolution of this thread now there are actual cars released in the wild. Looks like while VO is still leading, it is by a slim margin and AW is catching up.

FWIW, I saw the list of the 40+ odd 1///Ms ordered over the last 2-months of dealer allocations, and a quick browse seemed to reveal there are more AW cars ordered than VO (with BSM being the least). People are either changing their tune, or perhaps here they voted not what will you order in reality, but what will they order if they feel brave enough

Saw VO at the New York Autoshow today and personally it thought it was a dull color trying hard to be 'in your face'. (Please don't take offense)

Yet under direct sunlight I'm convinced this color can really be 'in your face' in an absolutely fantastic way. Too bad I do not live in areas with a high probability of daily sunshine ...

Seeing some of the new photos of VO posted in some other threads the VO does look like an unusually beautiful color. Very unique. I'm glad I switched from White to the VO. All the colors look great though and I've been very happy with my 135 white. The Black looks very cool and menacing with a tough Bulldog stance.

Main benefit of the BSM color is that under bright blue sky it gets a really nice dark shade of blue.

Black is always a great color, but the orange would sure stand out among the 1 series.

I'm still deciding on what color to get myself... I'm really, really hooked on the Valencia Orange though.

VO definitely is the best color for enhancing the visibility of all the nice curves - so IMO the car looks best in VO

...therefore i voted for VO

ordered mine in SBM though... if only they had offered grey

I ordered AW because:
-Looks good, proper German motorsport color.
-Does not show dirt and scratches
-Won't attract a ton of attention

I like VO but:
-I've had a couple orange cars and earned many tickets
-At 54 a bit too flamboyant for me
-Still tempting

I also like Black (however):
-The black valance does not stand out and I like that
-looks elegant
-Shows scratches and dirt the worst (and I don't have a staff to keep it perfect)

^^^VO would be a good choice for you given that you previously owned an Orange M1.

That's another thing I love about VO... the nod towards the M1. Even if the 1M can't share the name, the signature color is a clear homage.

That, and I'm a U of Texas alum.

As you can see by the dates I was much younger then. Also by it's nature the car was a bit flamboyant. I did not so much pick the color as I was the second owner. The tickets were a bit if a pain, but I did love the color. Interesting though the 1M would run circles around it.

as i read above: ...not everybody might have voted what they ordered in reality... (like myself )

statistics showing which color people actually chose when they ordered their 1M would be interesting...

maybe even sorted by country
