Anyone have access to BMW SIB's?

Wondering if anyone here has access to TIS and can pull up Service Information Bulletin 12 02 10. My car was recently reflashed by the dealer and I pulled up a fault code afterwards, so the dealer had to re-reflash the car and the invoice references the aforementioned SIB. Just curious to see what it's all about.

After programming, one of these codes popped up:

2FA3 – coding missing

2FA4 – incorrect data record

So they probably just had to re-flash it again to rectify the issue.

Thanks! Unfortunately there's no text other than the title of the SIB, but I imagine it's just general information about coding.

Yeah, it was the first code, but no one could really explain what it means. The closest I could figure is that the car's software and the module's firmware did not match, or something like that.

SUBJECT
N51 or N52K Important Information when Programming the DME

MODEL
All models with the N51 or N52K engines

Situation
After complete vehicle or DME programming (regardless of the ISTA/P version used), the following fault code(s) may occur:

2FA3 – coding missing

2FA4 – incorrect data record

The effect of these faults could be noticed as a loss of acceleration or overall performance.

Cause
Under investigation

Correction
It must be ensured that following programming, neither fault code 2FA3 nor 2FA4 remains stored in the DME.

Following programming, the DME fault memory and adaptations should be cleared.

Then cycle the key off and back on, and recheck the DME fault memory again.

If fault code 2FA3 or 2FA4 is still present, work through the test plan in ISTA.

If programming and/or coding is recommended, start ISTA/P and select both the CAS and DME for programming and coding. Recheck to see whether the fault(s) is now able to be cleared.

If the DME needs to be replaced as a result of the diagnostics, a DME TC PuMA Case will need to be created before ordering the replacement part.

Note:

The vehicle must not be released back to the customer under any circumstances with fault code 2FA3 or 2FA4 stored in the DME.

Thanks for the SIB text!

I can't say I noticed any drivability issues at all, but we'll see how it feels once I get my new AA tune uploaded.

Ha - the car was released back to me with the code stored 5 1/2 weeks ago! Glad to get it sorted finally.
