Hey!

As-is in the picture.

Two foam bushings, 4 steel washers.
Any advice?

In case you haven't already come across this, the CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) Delete is another cheap and popular DIY: https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show...60&postcount=5.

For sure!

I have the E9x M lock valve waiting to go in... looking to swap my brake lines at the same time (since they share the same reservoir), and refill with fresh brake juice.

Can't wait... clutch engagement can be annoying.

Ah duh - should have paid closer attention. Interesting they sent washers (assuming they sent them and you didn't add yourself), was only foam bushings that I had when I bought mine.

I think its a matter of preference, I had mine with 2x foam bushings and preferred it that way. To me the amount of travel should be somewhat proportional to the shifter throw. So if you had a super long throw and a super short clutch engagement, that would feel dumb. You want the two items to work together in a way that makes sense....

I did play with it a little while and had settled on that configuration in the end...

For sure.
Sent this way with the washers...

Travel relative to the shift throw feels decent, let's see what happens when I clean up the shift action.

I made a keychain... experimenting with a few designs, colours, and ways to attach the chain and ring.

haha love this - did I miss something in the thread about the lego connection with the E82? I've always thought the cars are a bit like lego due to the parts-interchangeability! Cool idea.

I finished the repair on my outer bolster. The Colorlock repair kit is a perfect colour match for my Coral red seats, and the piping where the finish had completely worn off now looks fine. It's smoother and shinier than the rest of the seat; the colour seems to fill any crevice or crack, so it also fills in the standard texture of the Boston leather. I may have put on too much at once; next time I'll use your method, of applying multiple very thin layers and wiping it away.

Beautiful car and great choice! I got mine last year, 2013 135i in mineral grey and red interior. I also got a 2019 Golf R that my wife currently drives, and honestly I have a lot more fun in the 1er than the R. Mine has an AFe Power exhaust system which is pretty loud and pop and bangs on downshifts adding a lot more character to the car. Are you planning to get an exhaust upgrade anytime soon?

Sounds great man, Congrats!

Where did you find the M Performance exhaust? I couldn't find it in stock anywhere. How much did it cost? and was it an easy install?

Thanks
