3im intake installed? Tuned?
I have an 128i with an n52k. When I use my obd2 sensor, it shows presence of two disa valves, with a pwm state for each that opens and closes based on rpm value.
However, when I monitor the ecu for hp and trq, and look for maximum output for each after I try a wot run through the gears, it only registers 238 hp and 182 ft lb. My question is, how do I properly confirm if a 3im installed with proper tune? My assumption is that the ecu would not show presence of the valves if it had not already been tuned. |

Here's a pic of my 3SIM. Between the W of BMW and the power steering reservoir you can see the disa valve on the side of it. Not sure how you confirm a tune. How did you confirm 238? I will say that sounds close to what some of us will dyno at with 3SIM + tune or other bolt ons

Also the ECU does register the DISA valves regardless of tune. We already have the wires for it and the ECU triggers their open and closing regardless if they are there or not.
