I doubt we get an update before next week at the earliest. Just knowing how frequent the updates come, and the time of year.

If we can get an update before the new year that would be really awesome

What brand/model tires (not sizing, don't want to stir that up again) are you guys going with? I want to have that nailed down when the rims arrive.

I'm on my 3rd set of tyres for the 135i. I have used Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's for the last 2 sets and they are brilliant so I will most likely use them again although they are comparatively expensive considering other options available. I will also consider Advan Neova AD08's as I've also heard great things about them too. I don't think I could go back to using an economical or good all-rounder tyre, I'd rather pay a bit extra and get the best because it really is worth it, at least in my case.

What about these?

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

They have a higher trendwear rating and better reviews from Tirerack.

Help with profiles

Ideally we're looking for a 255/30 combo for the rear, no? The Continentals don't appear to come in a 30 profile but do come in a 35. The Advans do come in a 255/30.

The lower profile gives us better speedo accuracy? Any other advantage?

Why is this thread littered with "failures to communicate"?

Ironically, on Christmas Day Alufelgen posts on the E90 board:

This is why I stay away from small startup wheel companies. South Florida is full of them and they are all the same. The last one I dealt with was no different - plenty of communication until they had money on their side. When I first saw this thread many months ago, I predicted this would happen and I'm glad I'm not spending a penny on them. This should serve as an eye opener for many.

They create the demand and once it's there, they don't know what to do with it...quite sad and very upsetting. Also, it takes a negative post like this one for them to wake up and come up with an excuse...I could almost guarantee a response from them some time soon after my post.

Wow. I remember wanting to jump in on this group buy and I'm glad I did not. I have been enjoying my wheels for the last 3 months. Good luck guys.

You guys need to stop complaining, they said 90 days...how long has it been? when it gets close to 90 days maybe then you can give them a hard time...they showed us the gunmetal metal once it was produced....just go do something to take your mind off this and chill

11N55 - I appreciate your support of Alufelgen and we all would like to jump on that wagon but some of us have been with this since June/July and have seen over 1000 posts come and go in the meantime. Do the research and you'll see that Alufelgen initially was posting 4-5 times a day and then was posting once a week and now seems to be posting about once a month. Their last post on this thread is Dec 6th....

They have over 20 buyers in this GB....most have paid $$ upfront.....probably $12000-$15000 of our dollars...Considering that we have been complaining about lack of information as far back as August...you would think that they'd be more informative. If you read this thread history, you'll see probably a hundred posts just asking for info and for Alufelgen to respond to emails and posts and pms.

We all want a successful outcome....for those of us in this GB now for 6 months, the lack of steady communications has been quite disconcerting.

I agree with you, all I was trying to get across was that they are a reputable company. But an update would be greatly appreciated and will hopefully be coming up sometime soon. I'm hoping within the first week of the new year.

The lack of communication is why I was slow in paying...it made me nervous. Now its a little frustrating if they're really posting on other sites regularly.
