havent run it at the track but got mine dyno'd at cobb last week with the 202 standard map. made nearly identical power as the 201 map and it was 20 degrees warmer outside and I added dci's since the original dyno. i'll try to get my 202 graph posted at some point. not apples to apples but its like comparing a granny smith to a golden delicous... mmm this tune is so good i love it

What do you think of the DCI's with a tune? I was convinced my car felt faster with the stock air box than with the DCI.

the car is definitely faster with the stock air box. We noticed a significant loss of top end power, a constant 5hp from 5K-7K, and even more once the intake air temperatures started reaching in to the 180's. I'm going back to the stock air box for June-September here in Texas since it gets hotter than hell. i have them more for the sound than anything else, a relatively quiet but noticeable sound of the turbos spooling up and the diverter valves popping, that i'm willing to lose 5hp over.

i also have tp update the numbers in my sig, I think i put another 5hp and 5lb ft to the wheels over my pulls in march...

Thanks for verifying my impressions. The turbos do sound good through the DCI's though.

Was it on a dyno that you got IAT's in the 180? Because on the street I really don't think anyone's going to be seeing IAT's that high.. mine have been around 80-100 degrees on 60-70 degree days and about 120 degrees at the most so far on a 85-ish degree day driving around in suburbia (slowly, with red lights that let heat build up in the engine bay). This is with an AFE DCI and air scoops, normal oil temps. I'd imagine that a car just sitting on a dyno (even with fans) isn't going to have IATs as low as a car driving, and the IAT definitely affects the performance..

yeah the 180 was on the dyno, this month so far in Texas I have been averaging 115-125 IAT's and have seen it in the 140's while pushing it

I posted in the other thread as well, but so far I actually prefer the 202 alternate V2 map over the 202 standard map...I like having all the power come on only when I need/want it (higher rpm) and "saving gas" when I just wanna cruise and drive normally in the lower rpm...haven't tried the 202 alternate V1 map as of yet...

Okay my brain hurts from reading all this v1 201/v2/202 stuff. Is there anyone out there that can give me a baseline of roughly what their impression of the various maps and reversions. I'm expecting mine delivered tomorrow or so and would like to have some idea before going in "willy nilly". Also I was thinking of data logging various conditions in the stock mode and whatever maps I decide on for future diagnostic reference. As hard numbers can be hard to come by and when it is running poorly that is not the time to try and figure out what various sensors should be reading.

Ok here are the map cliff notes:
- 201: The general consensus is that partial throttle (low RPMs) leads to a rush of boost and WOT like conditions
- 202: Improvement (my personal opinion) on 201
- 202v1: Really need to go near full throttle to bring on WOT like conditions. This map is geared towards Automatics so ignore if you are MT.
- 202v2: Same as above but geared towards MT.
- ACN maps: Arizona, California, Nevada. If you don't live here I wouldn't even worry about these.

My recommendations are to get your Cobb, run your initial updates (with the beta checkbox checked). Download the 202 91 and 93 maps from the Cobb website. Run those. If you feel that during partial throttle, they are either too responsive or not enough then go to 201 (not enough) or 202vX (too responsive). The version number should match your transmission type.

You should definitely log the device. I am unsure if you have 93 octane gas where you live, but if you don't then I wouldn't recommend running the 93 maps. If you do, then take some logs from the 91 and 93 maps. Here is a tutorial I wrote up on logging - http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=524144. Start the log in low third gear (to avoid traction issues) and go to redline or as far into 4th as you feel safe.

you first have to hook it up to your car and save your stock ecu map, then it will allow you to update to the newest maps.

It should ship with the latest firmware, but you can also plug it in to your PC and ensure that your firmware is up to date. Keep in mind you won't be able to see any of the maps if you plug it into your PC before you actually flash the car.
