Wild B, When I tracked my 135 last year, not all the options showed up. But you should verify with the dealer as they have an accurate statement of the build. Good Luck.

I'm still in doubt. I noticed that almost all cars driving around in Europe have "shadow line" standard, and that the "chrome line" is something you only see on the more premium and/or expensive cars.

And for us (Belgians and BMW Belgium), shadow line is an option (extra $$), while chrome line is standard on the 1M.
But this is different in other countries. Maybe shadowline is standard in the US.

I'm from belgum, and would rather have the chome line... On my contract, its listed in standard equipment.

Update, even though my dealer said the car finished production late last week, the web site finally shows it is done. I have heard the web site is anywhere from 4 days to a week behind the actual status.

Bill, I think your car is now status 193 which is at dock waiting to be loaded. My car that came off the line on Sat. is 193.

Yours will be at the dealers before mine, mine has to make the trip thru the Panama canal to the west coast VDC, at least another two weeks after the cars reach the east coast.

Very good.

The real question is: when will you get it? All indications are that the press will get to drive them before real consumers get to take the keys.

Do you which interval your car will likely get "stuck" at? Will they make it sit at the VPC until sometime in May? All along, the US launch was not supposed to be until May.

It would be awesome if you got your car in the next week or two, but it just seems unlikely.

Judging from my experience tracking my MINI Coopers across the pond it will take a minimum of 4 weeks to get across the Atlantic ocean and then through the Panama canal to the VDC at Port Hueneme, CA.

So that should put the timing about right for the USA launch date.

The email I got from our CA says that it is due here any time between the 13th and 16th of April, and then another 7-10 days at the VDC. I just called him to clarify if they were going to hold it until the official release day in May, he said that he will have to find out and will get back to me on that.

I have been discussing that with my CA as well. He went through all of BMW's bulletins about the 1M and said he couldn't find anything about a specific release date. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Haven't confirmed with my CA, but most likely.

And, as crazy as it sounds, at their current pace, and if BMW doesn't hold them, we will have our cars the end of next month.
