Videos from 6" away from the exhaust pipe are virtually useless in showing the real world sound of the system. I find drive-bys and launch videos to be much more helpful as nobody will be listening them from your rear bumper but everyone will hear you drive by.

I would think inside the car video would be the best because I buy my exhaust so I can enjoy it not other people.. |

Understood, but that's the same sound a bystander would hear as you drive by. You really only hear it when the windows are down, save the drone. My only point was that recording SO close the the exhaust outlet doesn't give any real world sound impression as far as volume or tone.

I don't think I implied that I thought video and audio were totally useless, rather the placement of the recording device. The videos you guys (Berk) have posted on youtube give a great reading of what your products will sound like in a real world scenario. You can see the distance from the vehicle and the tone and approximate volume of the sound which gives you a pretty good idea of what it will sound like in person. Securing the camera to the bumper makes nearly any exhaust system sound loud but you lose all volume reference and have a hard time deciphering the tone.
I'm giving this review from my own experience and frustration in selecting an exhaust system. I found the drive-by and acceleration videos extremely helpful while the bumper videos made the systems nearly indistinguishable. If anything, I'm helping you guys to better market your products and give the consumer an easier buying experience.

I am in the same predicament, can't deside b/w the Berk, CP-e, and now AA. Planning on running catless DPs at some point but not out of the gate.
And for not dropping the hammer in the vid. I cannot figure out why people video there car killing it off the line and slaming it into 2nd gear. The idea is to hear the exhaust not the tires breaking loose....

ive had the berk street system for a few days now, maintains the civility and refinement of a bmw while adding a much deeper growl through the entire rpm range, a small amount of the crackly pops when backing off throttle, and at WOT matched with my dci's they compete and compliment each other to sound perfect. fitment is spot on, looks stock unless you know what you're looking at, and you can cold start the car in a garage in an apartment complex without waking up the neighbors! There is a small amount of drone when cruising but from what I hear that dies off after some time...
cant wait to see they dyno charts next week to see if there was any improvements

BMW PE all the way... perfect amount of aggression and exoticness while still being somewhat sophisticated. Sounds especially good mated to the N55!

I also have the BMW PE. The PE along with the Cobb AP tune is the perfect combination!

I have the Remus Quad Exhaust and it has a very european exotic sound to it. I get compliments on it all the time. Adding the catless AP downpipes gave it a deeper, raspier tone too. I love it, quiet in the cabin, no drone. Thinking of adding the AP midpipes too to get a little more volume but not sure if that's overkill....
