EDIT: I should add the reason I did not purchase from him has nothing to do with him, but because my local dealer matched his very competitive price and I decided to go with the local dealer due to relationship with dealer... They have been good to me before and I have two bimmers to service.... Otherwise, it would've been him for sure. |

Hey db - new to the forum and just started considering a 135i yesterday actually (have been leaning toward a 996 or e46m3 but kind of want something w warranty). I see they are offering $479/mo leases on 135i's on the website, but at the same time I hear everyone talking about 135i leases being horribly overpriced, and approaching the $700 range (which is absurd IMO). What have been the best deals you could do on leases? Is it even worth looking at, and do you expect it to be better pre or post the new year?

the lease specials you see advertised are most likely 2008's, not 09'. Then they typically are structured the following:
A "best deal" is relative. The payments are much better than when the car was first introduced. But also too, buyers need to understand the way the "ad" leases are structured compared to what they need. Personally I don't ever really see the 1 becoming the lease king with BMW. I think they will keep it in perspective, I think maybe in the future we will see the ad prices drop by maybe $30 per month |

To answer the question directly, I'm getting my 135i Vert for $477/month for 24 mos 10k miles per year but upfront cost is $5800 out the door. This is for a fairly loaded example over $46k. The downpayment portion of that is about $4300 so it would have been around $600/month with nothing down.

Question about ordering lead time...
Hi!
I know that this is kind of early, but I like to plan ahead. I'm currently leasing a car that I will replace with a 135i when the lease ends in 27 Jan 2010. When should I be placing my order for the 135i to make sure that I have the car before my lease ends? My plan right now is to place the order soon after I finish paying for my '04 M3 the first week in October. I do want to get a 2010 model and I'm concerned about availability of allocations since this would be an early 2010 model build. Based on these facts, what kind of lead time do you recommend? This will be my 3rd BMW purchase from the same dealer. Thanks in advance for your help!!! Juan |

Dave,
Have you ever dealt with a customer that had a car delivered to your dealership through a foreign MSP? I am currently serving in Kuwait in support of OIF, and have bought a 128i through Superior Motors. It is currently at Bramerhaven awaiting a shipping vessel and should arrive to the delivering dealership in Akron about the same time I get home in March. Do you think the dealership will be able to help me get the car titled and the taxes paid? I am just concerned since I didn't buy it through a stateside dealership. |

Hey can one of the dealers help me out here?
So I ordered a 2009 135i back in october when everything was fine financially for me. The car is due next month. We negotiated and I told them I would pay in full cash upon arrival and pickup. However the problem now is that I don't have the cash anymore and I want to finance it most likely through BMW finance. Will I still be able to get my car and will the price still be the same? What will change? And if I can get it are there any cheaper financing options out there right now?? Sigh.... Thanks...

nothing should change with the price of your car. Just tell your dealer you want to finance now, BMW has has some nice rates on the 09 135's |
