Years ago when I first saw the crisp white ones showing up on the 3-series coupes, I thought they're almost too white. Hurts my eyes. I never cared enough to even consider doing anything to them or messing with stock, but I like them just fine the way they are. It's a little weird that they don't match the eyebrows now, but it also sets them off and apart so you don't just have a bunch of crisp white shapes barreling down on you in your rearview from up ahead before we pass you. O=)

Actually, I just went back and looked at my own photos after posting this since I never see my own headlights and I think what it is is that when they have a different color to them, it makes it really look more like a face and eyes and an eyebrow. It's a little more dynamic and adds a bit more depth since they do NOT match. Soft, but intent eyes and angry, strong eyebrows. It's a mean and menacing face.

Alright, back to me focusing on floormats.

When I first saw the new e92 "angel eyes", I thought it was cool of BMW to make them white. After a few seconds of looking at the lights, I found the lights too strong (especially at night!). However, I'd get those white lights than the non-xenon headlight "angel eyes". On the e90, the non-xenon AE's are very faint. It can barely be seen at night. I'm not being biased but I like the our strong yet soft yellow AE's. Just like you, I really loved the contrast of the yellow eyes with the white brows and xenons.

IF BMW was able to develop white AE's that isn't too strong, that would be a nice option. For instance, the "eyebrow" lights are a good place to start off with developing a good white AE's.

Glad it's not just me that finds some of them too bright. Our cars, especially now with the eyebrows look like an angry rhino face or something. With the bright bright angel eyes, looks like it's on meth. hahaha.

What did you end up getting car-wise by the way? I know it wasn't the carbon black IS convertible since I saw it was still on the showroom floor at Pacific yesterday when I took my car in for its post break-in service.

135is - Carbon Black

Yellow - I want white and need to research my options.

And my mirror caps are the same color as the car - carbon black - I thought they would be black. I must have missed that caveat when ordering. Unless that's a mistake which it may be....anyone know?

As for the angel eyes, yes, standard off-white, yellowish ones that come on every 135is.

As far as the mirror caps go, we had this question last year as the first few carbon black 135is people were getting theirs on the forum and I think of the 6-8 forum members with carbon black IS's, they all had body-colored, carbon black side mirrors as opposed to black black. So, that just seems to be the way they are doing them. I guess BMW figured that's black enough? Or the difference would be so subtle, why bother (on their end of course).

You can check out the "135is owners show us your cars thread" and see the other carbon black IS owners cars to see theirs are the same if you're curious.

Those 313s sure make a huge difference though compared to the 264s on your other 135, huh? I swear, it changes the entire look of the car and makes it look so much better and meaner.

TBH You are getting a faster delivery than almost anyone else I've seen on here who has ordered a car. Count yourself lucky!

And post pics

Ordered on June 20, scheduled for Performance Center delivery exactly two weeks from today. Thank goodness my G37 is still a blast to drive...

Worra - Honestly, I may be the fastest but to me its super slow considering this the first time I have ever order a car.

Rik - Hows the G37? I had the G35 previously and I love it! I love the stock exhaust on my G35

The G37 has been a great car... for a while I was actually considering pulling the trigger on upgrading to an IPL. But since my mission was to improve the driving experience, reduce size and weight, while increasing HP, torque, the nod went to the 135is over the S4, ATS, Q50, G37 IPL, E92s and F30s, and a bunch of others including the 370Z, Boss 302, etc. I drove them all, and I would be happy driving any of them on a daily basis, but the 1-series was "the one".
