Do 328i armrests fit our cars?

Hi everyone,
I have the typical broken armrest lid clip in my 128 :/
Has anyone found a cheap solution to this? All I can find on eBay are dirty replacements for $150+.

Pretty certain I have mine (off my 128i) tucked away from the delete I did a couple years ago….yours for a nominal fee, plus shipping (from Canada) - if I can find it and you want it….

Better question, has anyone found a solution to the broken clip issue, other than using bungee chords to hold it closed?

I glued it back together, but I didn't use strong enough glue so it broke and I lost the clip into the lower half of the armrest.
Somebody could definitely 3d print a replacement clip/mechanism. The only issue I could see is attachment if it's simply like a glue on hook. I'm also not sure if the upper half of the armrest can be opened to swap out the mechanism.

Wow that's a great price! Yeah, I'd love to take that off your hands if shipping is reasonable. My zip code is 90814 for the shipping quote. I'd love to see a picture if that's possible.

I would try magnets. Put a couple of those flat steel self-adhesive plates that stick to the back of cell phones on either side of the hole the clip inserts into, then glue a couple of those tiny strong magnets to the underside of the lid so they line up with the plates.

Absolutely brilliant idea! I wish I had thought of this before I ordered a replacement off ebay... Oh well, I'm remember this for when the new one snaps as well!
