Grill above the CD player

Hi all,

Just wondering if everyone else can see a small grill above the CD player on the dash. I assume everyone has it, but can everyone see through it and see what looks like a metal plate? It annoys the hell out of me!

I would guess that it is the temperature sensor for the climate control system.

Maybe he's got an I-Drive car? I can't think of any grill on mine other than the one in the climate control.

Is he talking about the "slots" between the air nobs....just above the cd slot??

Yeah Lester has it right. It only annoys me because in daylight I can see right through it. Looks like the car is cheap and has a panel missing that you can see the insides of the car.

I just think on a new car, letalone a BMW, you shouldn't be able to see what's behind the dash!

You must have the layout with the climate control above the readio unit? I guess that's why you can see the grill - on mine the radio is above (like the pictures above), so it is less visible.

Do you have I-Drive?
