True... I haven't kept up with Terry's new maps since the JB3, but I'm assuming the higher you go the more aggressive the map. Wonder if map 1 is the only "correct map" for the 1M.

How about in Cali with 91? Map 5 on the JB3 said 93 octane but many Cali guys ran it with no problems. Im wondering if its the same for map 2 on the JB4
Here is a summary of JB4 maps Map 0: Stock bypass. This is the only map you may use a BT cable with. Map 1: 13psi (suggested for most stock applications. Conservative mapping.) Map 2: 14.5psi (suggested for bolt on mods with 93 octane. Close to JB3 map 7.) Map 3: Progressive meth (see guide to enable) Map 4: Stock map w/ CAN active. Soon to be our economy map. Map 6: Custom map. Active but be careful with it. Map 7: 16.5psi. A light weight race map. EDIT.. it says map 2 is equal to map 7 from the JB3. I thought 7 was a definite no no on 91 octane |

I think your 335i mate has some mods you don't know about
Either dp's or fmic. I tested both individually and they make more power in 3rd and 4th which is where you get taken. |

I'd like to join in on the fun! The reason that 335i pulled slightly at the end is because of the weight disadvantage that you have carrying a passenger. |

This video makes no sense: I wouldn't mind seeing a logical loss, but the 1M is a lighter car and according to the description it's on a more aggressive tune (map2). There is no reason in the world for which the 335i should have pulled away unless there is something wrong with the 1M or driver can't drive.
