Stock black exhaust 135is
I suppose this makes my 135is a bit unique. The dealership swapped it for free when I took delivery. Sound is obviously quieter than PE, but it is very refined and still pops and burbles. Also, the exhaust valve vacuum line attaches and works. I prefer the polished black tips. I welcome opinions...

I have to agree you should stick with the PE.
I have purchased from Tom Bush and they were very nice, I bet they would undo that. I would run (not walk) and ask. The PE in my wife's e90 is outstanding.

YOU DID WHAT!!!!? Blasphemy! Get that PE back on there...
Step 1. Go back to the dealer and get your exhaust (Worth some serious cash) Step 2. Kick your CA for letting you do this Step 3. Get it installed Step 4. Enjoy one of the best sounds that car will ever make..

I will pay for shipping, and a steak dinner to the restaurant of your choice. Please send me the exhaust. Paypal ready!
Actually, I have a Le Mans Blue 135i, would you like to trade? It looks exactly like yours! |

You just took away a huge part that made the 135is an 'is' instead of an 'i'. With that said, you should at least get some cash back from the PE you left vs the stock exhaust you got.

Alternatively, get the 135i carbon diffuser and it looks awesome with the PE.

Nice to see the 135IS exhaust so well received. Sounds great in the morning. Believe its a bit more aggressive than the 335is version, will try the sound meter when I get a chance. Don't think there will be many thumbs up for the swap.

Wow. It is impressive how strong everyone's opinions are here. The PE is an awesome exhaust for those who don't mind the mild drone. It was great on the test drives. In fairness to my dealer, I got my car almost $3k under invoice so I have no problem with handing over the good exhaust for the stocker. It has 80% of the sound with none of the drone, IMO. Thank you to everyone for the offers on the PE, but it was unbelievably simple with the dealer doing the swap work. I can only hope the next owner will enjoy it properly.

I really enjoy the PE pops and burbles, I find myself driving around with the windows down to better hear it. It certainly gets you some attn when you fire it off in a parking garage.
It does drone a bit around 65 mph in 6th (MT), but it's not annoying, and a quick speed up to 70 and it quiets down. I'm with the others here, you should go get the PE back and then sell it |

I just want to point out I somehow managed to ask first...
I'll even pay your dealer 200 + shipping I think everyone in this thread is just concerned and looking out. resale value will be hurt as well. Nothing wrong in enjoying the stock one over the PE in my opinion; I just feel you should have asked for the PE back so the next owner could have the choice. $20 says the SA has a 135i with a new PE my .02 |

Wait...a .. minute....... I have the PPK2, does that mean I have a one-off 2010 135is with my "preferred black tipped stock exhaust and m pack wheels"???
Ok ok, I know I'm pushing it a bit j/k... still interested in the PE though |
