Looks fantastic. I realize you're in Switzerland but would you know if those seats are legal in North America? I'd love to get them but I'm not sure if it's legal here..also did you have to do any coding for the seats?

these seats are completely legal, as it is original bmw accessory. should be no problem also in america? bmw did some codings to remove the airbag failure code that always appeared after changing to performance seats |

You can install the seats and code airbag lights out however I recommend the ECS retrofit kit which allows full function of the airbags on the seats. They are awesome seats and unlike all other aftermarket options have a working airbag and heating and (despite not being road legal) are the most safe option in opinion. |

This is what I think happend: In Europe at the time of release no (pressure sensitive) occupancy sensor was needed, in the US this was already needed. Thus these seats could not be homologated for the US without updating the electronics in this seat, which Recaro/BMW choose not to do.

Nice paint job! Did you also have the engine bay and door jams painted for the full effect?

Love it! ANY shade of blue would have been my choice when ordering (if I had one!).

on the engine bay, you only see it on a few positions (the costs would have been much more as the engine had to be taken out for that). |

I have these seats fitted along with the correct kit to enable the airbags etc. However, my heated seat button doesnt seem to make any difference and the light goes out after a few seconds. Are all the bmw performance seats fitted with heating elements as if so ill get them looked at? i assumed i had sacrificed the heated seats for the extra comfort and style of these seats lol. Great colour by the way although my personal favourite is the Yas Marina Blue offered on the new m3/m4. still it takes big balls to paint a 1M a new colour. Nice Job

OP - please post more photos of the car. Would love to see it in different light. What made you decide to paint it? As said it is a bold move to paint a 1m but in your case a rewarding one. |

i got rather tired of the fact that this was my third car in white. i first ordered the 1m in VO and then changed back to AW as i didn't like the VO and BSM.. verry happy with the choice! |
