Agree with most of the posts, like the key ring idea 2.

Sticker's are nice for tool boxes, etc in the garage even if you don't plan to put on the car.

I like the ring too. I thought it was cool in my 135

Sticker is 2nd for me and the plaque 3rd (where would we mount it)

The ring would be standard across the board location wise for everyone and that would make it appear OEM

That'd be nice, but I'd also be fine with a vendor stepping up to the task!

Any takers?

I personally like the "ring" or START/STOP button trim. Only because the plaque doesn't have a place to be mounted nicely IMO like with the UK cars with the ashtray cover. I am already talking to a Russian contact in China to see how much it would cost. The OEM trim is aluminized ABS plastic, production cost would be higher than just a solid color plastic. I think maybe a solid high gloss orange engraved trim would really look great. If not enough people are interested(at least 300) I would just get one made for myself.

Love it. How about in solid anodized orange aluminum?

I like the trim ring. Nice work!

Some minor feedback I have...

It might look better with "One of 740" at the top (rather than all caps ONE) and "1 Series M Coupe" at the bottom, leaving out the "BMW Motorsport Limited".

Agree. And I wouldn't want it orange.

I've been looking into modding the trim ring already and it looks like a new ring would have to be affixed over the existing one (possible fitment issues) or else a new starter button "module" would be needed.

That said, I like the plaque 1st (but echo the "where to fit it" questions) and the trim ring (that sounds so dirty, lol) second.

late to the thread.

i think the plaque should be 1 of xxx in North America or else it would be entirely untrue.

The orange part of this you'd have to sell me on with a pic. Otherwise I'm for a satin aluminum (as stock), assuming the price is not outrageous.

I'm also for leaving out the "BMW Motorsport Limited"

I think that's way too busy. I would keep it to a single line of text above the starter button that reads "One of 740". I'd leave off BMW Motorsports Limited and the 1M coupe line. We all know we have a 1M Coupe.

Just my two cents.

My favorite so far, only for the clean aspect. But as I stated in the other thread, I like the start/stop button as well. Little plaques are cooler and a little more clean to me. Would prefer more personalization such as 211 / 740 (even though that's not my number)

That plaque would work fine for me (except for changing 450 to 740).

I'd fit it on the blank panel beneath my radio.

I like the plaque also.....but should it be:

"1 of 740" or do we want "one of 740"?

Regarding the start/stop trim ring, after seeing some of the other comments, I'm of the thought that a stock look with, just:

"One of 740"

and nothing else would be very nice. Clean and simple.

You sure you don't want it to read "Eins der Siebenhundertvierzig" ?

Metak, this looks good!

1. Starter ring

2. Plaque

It would be nice if the ring could be made available in a few colors. Gunmetal/Chrome/Black but I realize that this would drive costs up and may not be as easy to coordinate.
