I believe he is banned because he is not allowed to do anything on the forum anymore. =P

Maybe we can get 2 Live Crew to do their awful song Banned in the USA as a tribute to him. Or just provide more coke for his VO 1M.

I would be interested to know what rules or etiquette were violated that resulted in his ban. I don't ever recall him being a d!ck to others. He enjoyed his ride and encouraged others to do the same.

Guess that's what happens when you start speaking "poorly/the truth" of new BMW products.

Do we have to nominate a new IEDEI now? One of us will have to get a 1M I guess...and live in a place where that white stuff falls from the sky.

I agree and would like to know too. He is a passionate enthusiast who has vowed to raise his family of five plus in-laws by carrying them all around in the only car anyone ever needs.....a DD 1M. Cheers to that! Though I do want to know when he finally caves and buys that Honda Minivan.

No longer at the top of my least-likely-to-be-asked-of-a-forum-member list:
"Say, do you mind giving me your contact info in case you are ever banned from the forum?"

NOOOO not IEDEI!

Maybe they can put him on bimmerpobation and he can come back on here, but for an entire month he'd have to praise the 2 series and how he dreams of trading his 1M for a M2 super sport.

I heard back from him. Sounds like a hypersensitive reaction...please email moderators and tell them how he is a great contributor to this forum.

I think Artemis has contacted them when we first noticed he got banned. I was in that thread. I, and others, have commented on the ban and our comments were deleted shortly after.

So you're saying you want us to lie? =P

The ultimate solution I think would be acclimation therapy where he has to drive a 2-series active tourer and other 2-series for awhile and give up his 1M until he is fully rehabilitated. hahaha.

I don't know how we'll make it through the winter without seeing his 1M donuts/coke habit. =( Not like 85 degrees here is really winter, but still.

I have noticed the mod's have been deleting a ton of comments lately when someone says something that goes against their opinions/post. Most recent the "first" post in the Red i8 thread on the home page that basically summed up to (who the hell cares).

Here's a fun little story: My car gave me a notification that my rear brakes are done. I took it in to the dealer and had it checked out. They said the brakes were still fine and just needed a reset + coding. After the weekend, I picked the car up and found that it still had the same warning. I needed to leave ASAP so I drove off with the car. I drove the car hard and the rear brakes still seem to be fine. At the end of the day, the car notified me again. This time, the warning is red and had the red BRAKE light lit up (as if I had the parking brake on) and had a red service warning on the mini screen. I took it in again and still waiting on the results.

Thank the heavens my SA is a godsend and is cool. It's not that I would've been PO'd from this issue but my SA definitely made things much better for me.

tl;dr - check your rear brakes and its service interval. Something may be loose or the brake sensors are touching something.

Side note: check the switches for your seats. Mine seemed to have a defect on the lumbar support switch (circular one with directions) on the passenger seat where it's freely rotating and I can't adjust the lumbar support.

Random Question/favor for DCT owners like me: Is the DCT lever supposed to go back by itself to its initial position when you turn the car off when it's in sport/manual mode (lever pushed over to the left)? Mine just clicks and seems to try to go back and then stops and gives a yellow warning until I push it back to the right.

Sometimes mine does this and sometimes it doesn't. When it does stick and won't go back on it's own, I just push it back to the right and all is good.

If I leave the DCT lever to right 99.9% of the time it goes back to the park position. I forget to do it sometimes myself but can't imagine it's hurting anything.

Hard to believe I placed my order 3 years ago today on valentine's day. And this morning I hit a momentous and whopping...13k miles.

Well, I'm going to make a concerted effort to hit 14k pretty quickly...even if I have to put it on a car treadmill.
