Xenon Headlights

I am surprised the 1 M does not appear to have xenon headlights standard. Am I missing something, because in the 2nd video the car clearly has old-fashioned headlights, albeit with the new browlift.

Cheers!

Yes, as has been discussed elsewhere, the car is a pre-production model with halogen headlights. The production models will have the xexons.

0.09 in the first report - yeeehaaa. That's why I'm getting this car. Not for the xenons or the auto aircon' or parking sensors or electric seats or the colour of the trunk liner etc etc. If I specially wanted all those must have, can't do without essentials I would buy a Lexus, put my old guys hat on the rear parcel shelf and spend the rest of my days oblivious to driving purity.

400 lbs lighter? That's not correct.

So there you go, multiple official BMW sources, and multiple numbers being thrown around.

The 1M is great, I'm glad they made it, but it also has been a huge marketing exercise by BMW as well.

I have to say, what would you choose?
3-4yrs old M3 vs. new 1M ?
I am sure there will be some market interest, but how many?
Also, 1M is basically same engine as new 135i.
Not acceptable to me as an M.

You make the assumption that everyone prefers paying $$$$ for a 3 year old car with wear 'n tear + 40,000 miles.

Looks really good, but I thought they were going to give it more Power. I heard 360hp awhile back. Also that M button they do on all of these cars is such a pointless gimmick. Why would you buy a M car then want to reduce its potential by switching it out of M mode? Makes no sense to me. It is mostly for those dorks that like to say they have a button that makes the car faster.lol The button to go faster is supposed to be the Gas pedal.lol

So, please educate yourself on what the M coupe's focus is, before you determine whats acceptable, as a M car. Because the way I see it, the current M3 is a joke. And, if you gave me one (new even), I would trade it for a M Coupe strait up.

I would also take an e46 M3 ovr the current M3, aswell... (V8...lol)

Whith the introduction of the 1M Coupe, who wants a M3 really..? Posers who can't drive a stick & drag racers...?
hahaha!! good one!! I agree!!

Commuting, fuel economy. From past experience, the M button gives a dramatic change in throttle response, that may not be welcome in daily driving.

This is expected that the e9X m3 drivers will have some jealousy towards our more agile to come 1M... The m3 is a fast, agile care but the M3 is not what it originally stood for. The 1M will take that spot as BMW's lightweight agility king. Like I said just accept it bro..
