AK downpipe

Gents, I'm planning to add downpipe to my ak mid and muffler, I understand it will sound somewhat louder with gas smell. So question is, will the smell go away after running in and how does adding the downpipe effect the performance
And can my Cobb disable the engine light plus any additional downside of the downpipe. Tkssss

Smell will not go away if you're going with catless downpipes. Downpipes help performance by removing exhaust restriction, allowing for better turbo response and overall flow.

Cobb can suppress the CEL, no other downsides to DP's beside the smell and sound.

Initially the smell will be a lot more pungent than after a few hundred miles. The smell will never go away though.
