What fmic for my n55 e82

Hi all
Don’t know which way to go with my n55 .
Need a fmic
I have Wagner catless down pipe
Vrsf charge pipe and mhd stage 2+ tune
Don’t drive it hard till I get fmic
Was looking at evo 3 or vrsf7.5”
Is it overkill for stock turbo or worth getting .
Might go bigger turbo in few years

I would say the 7.5" is too big if you're staying on the stock turbo.

Stock turbos cause pretty hot intake temps compared to upgraded turbos.

I have not ever heard of anyone losing transient response or spool or lag from putting a larger intercooler on with stock turbos.

Atleast with a larger intercooler you will keep the intake temps under control.

The wagner should be easier on your turbos but its bloody expensive.

I would get one off BMS. The Pheonix intercooler.
If you really want a tube and fin intercooler it would be nearly cheaper to get a plazmaman intercooler custom fitted over getting the wagner evo 3.

You might get 5-10hp better with the tube and fin in some parts of the power curve on stock turbos but is that worth the extra cash?

Bms pheonix would be my choice.

Certainly comes down to budget, but having swapped the IC many times to cope with power changes, now I would stump up money to do things right the first time so I wouldn't have to change it again and again. Go the tube and fin Plazmaman custom.

I heard plazmaman are good just pricy .
I’m at vrsf 7.5” or Wagner evo 3
I’m pushing towards the Wagner for quality wise at the moment
