V710's or Alufelgen CS7?
Impressions on either? Both look amazing, but I was curious on other people's thoughts/differences in the wheels?
Im leaning toward the V710's because I think they look slightly more aggressive.

I like the V710s more if given the choice. Too many people already have CSL style wheels but I guess that look never goes out of style.....

I was in the same boat as you.
Both look great,... But,..I pulled the trigger on the V710's. They look more custom where the CS7's look more factory.

V710 in 18" Gunmetal soon...the stock front tires 210's will fit but are to small IMO . the 245 in the rear are fine but the 210's will be to stretched out of balance with the rim sticking out a bit...I would love to ditch the RFT and buy new tires but i just got the car a month ago so it may be a better idea for me to burn these stock tires up this summer(after my tune) and put the 710's on after that with a nice set of tires that are NOT RFT for sure...225 front a 255 rear.

My vote is the CS7. Have these on my son's 135 with a GC coilovers and 245's at all four corners. Much improved balance. I've owned VMR's and think these wheels are a bit better in terms of finish and the offsets are perfect for running plus size tires IMO.

Depends on what you are going after. The CS7 are lighter, stronger and will allow up to 245 in the front and 265 in the rear. It matches the 1-Series design better IMHO. |

I got my gunmetal CS7 wheels yesterday. So obviously my vote is CS7. I just need to select which tire to get.
OBTW, I got excellent service and price from Wheeladdicts. |

I'm debating the exact same question as the OP and leaning towards 18" V710s.
I want to get 255/35 S.Drives in the back, but I'm concerned about rubbing. My suspension is stock right now, but I'm considering Eibach springs soon. Any informed opinions out there about whether I can squeeze 255s in the back on V710s? |

I personally love the look of the v710's but as you have probably gathered, you are going to get different answers from different tastes.
Just go with the one you like most.... and not worry about what every one else likes/dislikes

The rims are in the box and waiting on tires. I am still trying to decide what to put on. I will post pictures soon, when I get some tires and installed on the car. Pix in box would be boring, since we have seen many that way already. In the mean time I am running Conti DWS on stock 261M rims. Looks like the bad weather is gone, so summer performance tires soon.
I must say they are of very good quality for the price. I also installed Beru OEM TPMS on the wheels and they fit perfectly. Wheeladdicts is good to go for a vendor to get the wheels/sensors from. |

I got my CS7s mounted this morning with 225/255 Star Specs.
I did have one worry. On the drive home with the winter tires and wheels in back, I got some rear tire rub when going over a couple of bridge joints and a railroad track.

Those look nice, thanks for posting the pictures. Those Dunlops look nice on those wheels. Are your wheels Ti Gunmetal?
I assume your 128i is stock sport suspension? Where do you think the rubbing is occuring? Hard to believe a rear rub, with so much clearance back there. I guess the extra weight of the wheels must have contributed. I can't wait to get mine mounted. For myself I wonder if the M sport suspension being a little stiffer on the 135i might help alleviate any rub. Maybe choice of tire size might be some thing to consider when I make my selection. Thanks again for the post. |

This is what I was afraid of. I was concerned that the +48 rears wouldn't be high enough to clear the 255 star specs, especially when lowered. Anyone else running these tires that can provide further input?

I' running 265 hankook evo12 lowered on cross coilovers and do not rub in the rear. However I had my rear fenders slightly rolled to fit drag radials.

The suspension is competely stock. I haven't done any looking, but I think the rubbing in on the plastic fender liner. It rubs even without a load in the trunk.
