Changed my cabin and engine air filters, taking the time to remove the charcoal filter and install a Mishimoto silicon intake elbow. I don't expect the changes increased horsepower at all, but can report a significant increase in throttle response. The car now feels much more eager to respond and agile. I highly recommend these modifications that cost about $80 and add maybe 20-minutes to your engine air filter swap process.

Scored 3 Nokian Radial tires with only 3500 miles on them for $100 on craigslist.
Going to mount two of them on my front tires, and I will have a square setup of 225/45/R17.

For the third tire, I will need to find a spare BMW wheel to mount it onto.

Son driving the one last night. Get a call at 11ish. RR tire low. (non run flat Pilot sport)

Found a nail. About a half hour away.

There is a patch kit in the car and a pump but I want to put a good interior patch on it.

I go to office where my winters are stored. Grab a jack and tools and book it to the rescue.

I little WAWA pitstop action and we swap both rears over to winters and head on the down the road.

I really need a spare. Anyone got one they want to sell?

I would feel better with a spare as well, but it would just eat up so much space! I currently have a patch kit, a pump, and a can of fix a flat.

Winters? Sounds like you have a spare!
I’ve got a 235/40 mounted on a cheap alloy as a spare (not for sale) but I keep it in the shed because it takes up so much of the trunk. I do keep sealant and a 12v inflator in the trunk, though the time I needed it the tire was so far gone that it didn’t help.

yeah the winters are huge in the trunk. I need to find the skinny one.

I have fixa flat and a string type patch kit.

If I had not been so close I would have had him use it, but that complicates a proper patch. Fix a flat goo and the shop wont touch.

My winters are really all season radials RFT on some sparcos.

A spare could have been had if it weren't for that over-engineered battery contraption hogging up all that space.

Kept a compressor and a patch kit in my 1er when I had the PS4S and before that had the PSS and before that had runflats, and the only time I had a flat, two of them at different times, was with the runflats, and then went straight to the tire store for a replacement (how convenient, lol).

Now, in my veedub, I have the battery in the front and a spare in the trunk, so I'm ready for a blowout, or a slow leak or whatever happens to one of my tires, with or without the other stuff.

Would always recommend non-runflats, they're so much more comfortable. Even if a little more work, they're worth it. Convenient or not.

Front end assembled today, new TCKline DA struts/springs, KMac camber plates, Hotchkiss hollow front bar. Still need to throw on the adjustable end links, dial in a reasonable ride height and install the strut tower bar. Held off on the offset bushings for now until I see what camber I can pull out of these plates.

Oh....also did the two minute fender adjustment to create as much space as possible - a little less than 2mm gain each side by the looks of things, but everything helps in an effort to stuff 255s in there. Still likely need to roll fenders, but a bit less up front at least!

Switching to nRFT's was done in the first week of owning my 1'er so now I have a patch kit or two plus some extra money put aside just in case I need a tow truck.

RFT's are bad and they should feel bad!!!

What wheels are you planning to run? I fit 255 with rear 261m's and 12mm spacer, need to trim the bumper to fender connection a bit too.

They'll be DForce LTW5s, 17x9 ET41 for autocross.

And, like the M arms you suggested, trimming that connection point is also not permitted.....'self clearance' (ie. wear it away) IS fine

Or else you end up in SM like me and get smoked by everyone else with quite a bit more done to their cars.

I've had a diff lockdown brace installed for over 50k miles. One of the must have mods for these cars. Virtually eliminates axle tramp even with stock RSFBs.

Most are easily installed and require only a simple hand wrench.

I highly recommend getting a solid metal or welded plate brace which are proven to be stronger as long as the welder isn't totally shit at it.

Have yet to put in my rsfb's...
I have sitting and waiting(for about a year now lol)...
Hopefully I'll wise up and get them put in sometime later this year...

Do you think they will make much of a difference even though I have coilovers?
