I wander how that happened???
*Edit*: Nevermind I found it "the driver was trying to take a corner with very uneven road surface, and lost the backend, hit the divider, flip the car 3 and a half rotations, and stopped by a tree. 3 passengers were in the car, 2 of which walk away without a single scratch, 1 has a minor scratch on his arm. car is total, as it's structure is damaged beyond repair, but no one was seriously hurt. M5 is defintley a very safe car. the magazine that's responsible for this on the other hand, will have to pay for the car, which worth a bit more than 200k USD. since there car didn't have insurance yet at the time of the accident" |

1. to test drive it and write an article on it so people in Japan (Taiwan actually) buy the car!! 2. so are u saying that japanese people cant drive? isnt there a formula 1 driver from Japan? 3. apparently the driver at time of crash wasnt from the magazine and instead was a inexperienced driver with an E55 AMG |

There's something like a 2 year waiting list for those in the UK now - obscene! Anyone who trashes one like that should be shot, or at least called some mild profanities..

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/2783519.stm - this was almost as upsetting. The cargo was believed to consist mainly of (then) brand new 7-series BMW's..
anyway, sorry to divert off topic. Back to the poorly M5.. |

I believe that guy was doing some crazy action......BTW, if people don't get used with high power engine car, it is easily to crash the car especially on test drive since people usually are in "hyper" mode and they just want to step on the gas pedal, eventually the car will lose traction on thw way of testing....

Isn't it beautiful how that car can take so much abuse and the passenger compartment is nearly untouched? What great engineering. I hope that if I ever need it, the e90 is just as good.

you are right! taking into consideration that the car rolled over three times, the interior seems pretty intact and not too twisted. i guess thats why everybody survived... |

I remember that boat going down as my Z8 was on it and I had to wait longer for another one. That totally sucked for people waiting for their cars.
