Shaking Gear Lever Knob

The gear lever knob on my 325 seems to have the "shakes" when travelling over rough tar roads. Not an issue as such, just something I noticed that the E46 never did. I have 225/45/17" Bridgestone Potenza tyres (all season). Any of you had similar concerns ?

funny, the thing i first noticed about the e90 is that stopped and at idle, the stick has considerably more vibration than my e46. i dont know why, but its a small sacrifice for a much better transmission than on the e46. the throw is short and its got 6 gears.

but i still have no idea why it shakes so much!

Didn't notice any shaking, but a fair amount of vibration can be felt through the shifter and clutch.

I dont. lol And btw its funny how you guys feel like the throw is short I had a short shifter on my last car and getting used to the long throw has been the hardest part of getting used to this car. It doesnt bother me though because my SS was notchy as hell and the Bimmer is just like butter.

I'm thinking it might have something to do with RWD or FWD? G35, RX-8, and my 330i has the stick shift vibrating. FWD Acura's with stick shift didn't.

I always wondered about this.

Talking

My car has all the same characteristics noted above (vibrating shifter and clutch). I'm glad to know that it's not a problem specific with my car. I was having some suspicions.
