for the 18" group, we already have 18" wheels that fit like a glove on the 1 and there are also other options out there. For 19" the options are very limited. I was also a believer and loyalist of 18" for the 1-series until I saw the SF-71s on it. It looks incredible in person, adds a very aggressive stance and it matches the body very well. The ride is virtually the same as well. Give it a try and if you don't like it the worst thing would be that you have to sell them and you`ll probably sell them at the same price that you bought them at

I am still interested in the 19" as i alway's liked them on the M3 MUCH better than the 18"s....And 19" usually alway's look fantastic, and these SF71's are indeed very very nice...that is why my name is on the list...But my reservations are because.
1) I have never had a 19" rime before so....Everything i have read on handling that going 19" from a 18" generally results in the car not quite handling as well, and the ride is a tad harder...Also generally there is weight difference in rim and tire....possibly even being heavier than the stock OEM setup...especially if you are trying to bump the front tire size up to 235... 2
2) Any of us who have very little miles on our OEM tires are out of luck and have to dish out another $800-$1000 on new 19" tires...obviously NRFT...I will not put RFT back on this car. So in essence it double the outlay to put on new rims for me...which is a consideration for me as i ahd wanted to use the extra grand for a tune/and boost gauge....but will see.
3) The Alufelgen CSL does not look ANYWHERE as nice as the SF71's...but i am ahoping before this Group Buy is complete you have a defintie idea on offsets and how much differerent it may look than the pictures you have shown which are pretty aggressive....especially for those of us who DO NOT want rubbing, stretched tires, and prefer not to roll the fenders....I would just want to put these on and not worry about these issues...
Lastly, keep me on the list.....i am :

The CS7s just don't look as cool as the SF71s and I'm not willing to sacrifice any more ride quality or risk damaging an expensive wheel—I live in LA where the roads are an absolute mess in the best circumstances. Plus I drive... A LOT. I also think the 8.5/9.5 widths are visually a bit too wide for this car.

I am also on the list and do not want to do any fender rolling or anything like that... from what I read so far this will not be necessary but I would be very disapointed if this was required

Thanks for the input. You are basically running E46 offsets. A few mm higher and you wouldn't have any rubbing issues.

Offsets and widths would be determined before production starts. The idea is to receive full participation from all the members during the developing process

"The ride is virtually the same as well."

Everyone always says that but going from 18s to 19s you are losing some sidewall so I really don't understand how that is possible.

With the 30 day, would you honor that price if we were late comers to the GB? I just want to be sure that I will have time to put the cash aside. Also, I would want mine in a Bronze finish. Would there be an extra charge for this? I hope not, but if so, how much?

how much fender modification was done to the project car to get the e46 fitment on there? I really like the level of concavity on that and wouldnt mind rolling the fenders if i could keep the same look. Im afraid we are going to lose a lot of that concavity if they are made in true 1er offsets = [

Yes. Once we get to 20 the GB is closed. You are welcome to order a set at retail. Bronze would have to be a custom finish at $75/wheel unless we get 10 people interested in it. So far we are doing Silver and Dark Gunmetal.

They were 335i fitments. Fenders maxed out on the rear only. Front fenders are stock. The concavity will not be sacrificed that much since we are doing a mold exclusively for the 135i. If we go with a 19x9.5 we can max out the mold to a ET of 50-54 and it`ll be ok. Trust me

Thank you. Join the GB and make it happen! The cost to ship to Canada is $199.
