The only thing I am concerning about is our COMFORT ACCESS.
I been reading reviews how BMW CA is not sensitive enough to work for locking/unlocking/starting the car. I am coming from Mercedes and their comfort access are just like APPLE products, super fast and sensitive. |

I had mazda's version when I had their 3rd gen mx5 and I never really had an issue with it with the exception of 1. the battery being low, and 2. the flat key sitting directly against my phone (iphone 4 at the time). I can only assume that I'll get the same type of behavior. I've also heard some pretty bad things about CA but I can't believe that BMW would let major issues go unresolved. If I have any of the same things pop up I'll be talking to my SA pronto for sure.

Same here...I heard it happens on the 2012 and previous.
Hopefully they have this fix on a 2013. I wonder if anyone here any issues like this on their 135is? |

Coming from a car that has all the packages, I really didn't feel like I'd miss any of that stuff too much in the 135is, so I opted to save the cash.

I wouldn't pay for CA, not sure what the big deal is. I know some love it and I know it's a real hassle and drag to have to push a button to unlock a car. I don't like driving with my bulky keys in my pocket, so I just end up throwing my keys on the passenger seat half the time and am worried I may lock myself out of the car potentially one of these days, though not sure if that's possible. |

I think a lot of people upgrade/swap out their angel eyes because the stock ones seem to still be that yellow-tinted one as opposed to the crisp white of the eyebrows I think.

Also, CA was no longer listed as a $0 item, and yes I paid the $1400 or so for the blue stitched leather.

As for comfort access, I definitely wouldn't pay $500 for it as a stand alone, but for free, I'll take it. I felt somewhat guilty until I got the car and realized pretty quickly that if you don't get the premium package, BMW screws you on the Sirius satellite. I assumed, especially having gotten the tech package, knowing that the car wass prepped and wired for Sirius, it just meant I'd have to pay for that first year of Sirius. (Then, in April, they announced Sirius is free for the first year with any BMW.) But what I found out was, while the car is wired and prepped for Sirius, it won't show up on the menu screen unless you pay the dealer like $500! First they told me $1900! Then it became $500. Needless to say, I was furious. $500 just to have it show up on my menu, while BMW says I get a year for free? Anyways, take home message is, if you want Sirius on your car, you're either going to have to pay them to unlock it in the menu or have a third party company like bimmer-tech code it on for about $300. That's what I did and so I tell myself $300 for Sirius + Comfort Access isn't that bad. Still mad about it though. |

I asked my dealer before I ordered my 135is if the 135is come with yellow / white angel eyes.
He told me that the 135is will come with LED white angel eyes and the older models have YELLOW HOUSING ANGEL EYES |

Please let us know what the real color is when you get the car. From what I've been reading, all 135i's have LED angel eye bulbs but they still appear to be yellow.

Ordered on July 3rd..pretty much 6-7 weeks wait if I get my car next Friday like the dealer said.
I am curious about my angel eyes too. I hope they're super crisp white like the new 5- series!! |

Y'all are nuts. The dealers are giving you some misinformation as well. The angel eyes are not crisp white, they have a yellowish hint to them and do not match the eyebrows, which are the crisp white. That's why a lot of people swap them out on our cars with the crisp white ones. Will edit this and add 3-4 pictures so you can see for sure and act accordingly if you decide you want to order the white angel eyes to match the eyebrows.
Updated with photos which hopefully will clear things up, no pun intended. Last edited by gregthegr8; 08-10-2013 at 12:32 PM.. |
