05 Sti and a 05 Daihatsu Sirion. Don't have any pics of the Sirion but it's lowered about 2 inches on massive 15 inch wheels Sti is lowered on gunmetal work emotions with a few more little bits. I love dark wheels on light cars
A mate of mine does car photography and he did a set for me. He is keen to do some of my 135 when it comes in too I can't wait  |

I had a 2004 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab (which is still in the family with my parents). I also still have a 1999 JDM RX7 which is dedicated to the track. The 135 is going to add a nice addition to the family.
Already scheduled a car control clinic and track day at Thunderhill with BMW CCA. Now I just have to wait till she comes in... the anticipation is really killing me! |

2003 - SAAB 93 ...The 135i will be my first Bimmer!! I will likely keep it "forever" and in 5-6 years time, buy an M3. I'm excited to dream about what that future M3 will be like!! I'll be almost 40 by that time, DAMN!!! I'd call that M3 a future mid-life crisis car, but these days (or should I say, "those days"...mid-life is like 60, no?

Haha, I wasn't going to post but when I read this thread and the collection of mostly impressive cars people have graduated to a 135i from, I figured I had to represent those that have taken a beeeeg step up in the world.
This is what I drove for 5 years (except mine was black): My new bimmer is exactly SIX times the price of my old car, bought new. About 8000mpg with a top speed of...ooh a brisk walk. LOVED that little car. |

you know BMW has a winner on their hands when most of you are coming to the brand from japanese and other german makes. they are making loyal entry level BMW enthusiasts who will undoubtedly trade up for 3 series, M's and more. This was what they tried to do in the mid 90s with the 318ti but could not pull off. To their credit they did it WITHOUT watering down the brand like they did with the 318ti and that really weak (sorry) 4 banger.

That and Americans don't crave hatchbacks like europeans. The 1 series coupe/convertible design is a direct result of some very good (finally) market research of what americans like. If we had recieved the 1 series as it was introduced in Europe several years ago it likely would have been a dissapointment, a little like the audi a3. though, the way gas has gone up, BMW may want to consider bringing the 5-door 1er to the states.

I absolutely can't stand hatchbacks, yuck. I hope they never bring the Euro version to the States, because I think it will bring BMW's reputation down. Everytime I think of a hatchback, I think of cheapo Hyundai from the 80's, lol

Probably be driving my wife crazy before we pick the 1 at welt. Setting aside the humor, its more likely the camry (others in this forum calls this a "ricer") maybe they dont love "cars" , or dont even know what the word means, heck i call it a "racer" because i-misspelled, i mean i love it, hah hah. Regardless of what you drove before "stand proud" , this group is called 1addicts and as long as you are addicted to the "one", and you or you will love the car, nobody can take that away from you.

I think it is funny that that people call the tuner look ricey. Back in the early 80’s when we were chopping our springs and adding ground effects kits to our Toyotas, Datsuns and Hondas to create low profile corner carvers we called it euro styling our cars. It was all about beating the American muscle cars around the twisties in PV and Mulholland in so cal. I find it funny that most of the people don’t realize that today’s tuner look evolved out of Europe.
