Don't get confused .... a DCT with paddle shifters cannot be compared to an auto with paddle shifter. DCT is in a league way better.

There were no manuals for sale when I was looking to buy. Was hesitant to buy the DCT even after a long test drive. After 2 years I'm happy with my decision.

I dont agree that all DCTs are better than all torque converter automatics (compare VAGs DQ200 to ZF 8HP45) but they have certainly come a long way. The most compelling thing about good modern DCTs is that theres almost no perceptible let up of torque/power when it shifts. That and the perfectly revmatched downshifts every time are kinda fun. Just pull the paddle and get the gear you want immediately, and at the right revs. |

Practice left foot braking if you feel you need to do something with that leg. You wont miss the manual after you dust your first HSV / FPV / 1M The DCT makes up for a lot of horsepower |

Or the mods could give us a FS sub forum like the E90post guys get...
It's pretty ridiculous that we don't have one already seeing as we probably outnumber them anyway.

On Feb 17, I sent the following to moderator Mark:
--------------- *Classifieds page format* Hi Mark, 1addicts is great - congrats! I was wondering if it's possible to have a classifieds page like the US pages? This is like a table of items for sale (with a column for price) and has a thread for each item, rather than a single thread or discussion for everything. Would it be possible to take that table format, and use it for our classifieds? Thanks and regards, James ------------ I have no response as yet. |
