LTB: 135 Performance Exhaust
Hello,
as the title states i’m looking for a 135 performance exhaust in good condition with Y Pipe. I am willing to offer a very fair price, and would be willing to drive to make the transaction. I live in the greater toronto area, but would be willing to drive a bit out of town. Thanks ! |

I think your best bet is to check with your local dealer... have them look up the PE part number and see IF any dealers near your location have one(NOS, New Old Stock) in stock. BMW stopped making the PE and other Performance parts for our "older" cars.

Humm... I could have sworn that it was phased out. But I just looked on a German BMW dealer site... and sure enough, its still available over here too. Btw... There are a few different versions of the PE. There is the USA version(which is the loudest), there is a EU and CH(Swiss) version. And there is a new EU version with different exhaust tips reminiscent of the old ANSA polished tips from the 80's. I suspect the OP here is just looking for a good deal on a used PE. Thank you for the information Dackelone and Esteban. From your posts I’m thinking that buying one from the dealer might be my best bet. It definitely sounds worth it, and the possibility of a phase out gives me a sense of urgency that might help with the process. Thanks again.

Two other must have mods I would do right away... the Performance short shifter(which is now no longer available for the 135i(but some have used the 128i/328i Perf SSK) and to delete the CDV valve(CDV delete DIY, mod). I wish you luck on your hunt for a PE. Esteban I must have been thinking about the 128i PE being NLA. Thanks. Dackel

Thanks again Dackel. I have been doing some reading and I am not sure i can do a CDV delete on my 2013 135 with DCT. Thanks again for the information. The hunt for the PE is on, and i can’t wait to experience the ‘ear porn’ in person haha. If there’s anything else you’d recommend it would be appreciated as well.

Looking for N54 cats
Hi guys,
First time poster here looking for some of your collective wisdom. I have a 2009 135i with 113K km and PO420/430 engine codes. What would you recommend for replacement catalytic converters? Does anyone have a low KM pair that I could buy? I'm in the Greater Toronto Area. How long can I ignore the codes without seriously harming my engine? I prefer to replace the cats instead of going catless because it's a daily driver and I don't want my kid breathing exhaust all the time. But new/remanufactured cats are sooooo expensive. Or maybe I'll just sell the car. My new job is super close to home so my commute is <20km total per day. Thoughts? Thanks, Kash |

Max,
The PE is a nice upgrade - not super loud but increases the volume just enough to make it sounds good. If you want to hear it we can meet in the GTA some time - send me a PM. As for purchasing one you can talk to Ash at Pfaff BMW in Mississauga. If you are part of the True North Club and/or trillium you can get between 10 and 20 % off on parts. i think I paid around 850 plus tax for a new one with the above discounts. |
