Items to get CK'd before Warranty Expires?

Hello 1M Members!

So, I have less than 3 months before my warranty expires on my 1M.

I'm taking her in for the blower motor recall and the front fender liners in a couple of weeks.

So, thought I'd CK to see what other items I should have them look at while it's in the shop?

Currently has approximately 11K miles and I replaced the Charge Pipe and both Turbo Bypass Valves (Pressure Converter?) last August.

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated

I would add the serpentine belt, pulleys and belt tensioner to the list from other members above. Additionally, see about fluid flush for coolant, steering fluid, trans fluid and diff fluid.

It is inevitable that it will check out fine and then fail within a month after the warranty is up ...

How is it you have warranty almost 10 years into the ownership?

Also, is the blower motor recall good regardless of miles/years?

I actually just had the blower motor wiring recall done today.....lol! No time frame for having it done. However, I would do it sooner than later because there is a small chance of fire. The tech showed me the old wiring compared to the new one and it was much better...heavier gauge and thicker wiring harness.

With respect to the warranty, the original owner first leased and then purchased the car. When he purchased it, he also purchased the extended the warranty. So, that coverage is about to expire in July.

So, was just trying to figure out what things I should focus on? Although, car is running like a champ! So, I'm sure something will bust the day after my warranty expires....lol!

Hi Tornado,

My 2012 also has about 10K miles on it. I've done everything on the car myself including coilovers, brakes, exhaust, bushings, vacuum hoses, etc.
My consensus is that after 10K miles and 8 years, none of the OEM parts we in need of replacing.

All rubber bushings were intact, OEM rubber hoses were in good condition. This is assuming that the car is garaged and indoor most of the time.

My HPFP and Index 7 or 9 (can't remember which but definitely not 12s) are still fine.

You have done the CP which is an obvious one.

Fluids are a must but I'm sure you're up to date with normal maintenance.

The only thing that went bad on my car was the OEM Bosch Spark Plug. I had the plug on cylinder 6 went bad (misfiring). That was right after I bought the car around @ 4000 miles. Then recently cylinder 3 OEM Bosch plug also went bad. I always keep spare plugs in the garage, they are cheap.

Other than that the car has been very reliable!
