for the detail brush, does it fit btwn the caliper and the wheel barrel? or would that be the mini size brush?

It depends on each wheel because that distance can vary. In general that space is very tight and the brushes bristles will fit in there but maybe not the entire brush. I would suggest getting the Mini E-Z Detail Brush so you have the best chance of getting in there. Both brushes work great but it sounds like the smaller one may best fit your needs.
