The 128 Sport/M-Sport 6MT is a supremely fun car to drive everyday, even to the market to pick up some milk and bread.

The other car that I've owned that made me smile as much was my '83 GTI (first year in the States-should have kept it).

The 128 6MT/Sport should be investigated by anyone looking for an affordable BMW driving experience.

Next summer, maybe you can buy mine....It is as perfect as a three-year-old car can be, with extra oil changes, and detailed by my fussy standards : )
Definitely a fun car to drive! I love mine.

Wow, an 8 year old article with correct predictions. It even exceeded expectations by getting famous for track driving, of course, with some mandatory mods.

128i manual is awesome! Car and Driver called it back in the day Sadly most were automatics but a normally aspirated, more reliable good sounding driver's car for sure. Big fan for the little car.

My 128i is hands down THE most fun car I have ever owned, and I come from a family of major fun car collectors - MGB, BMW, Lancias, Golfs, Fiat, TR7s, etc (ok not all good ones - but still fun!), I bought this baby in 2010 and have driven the heck out of it for 11 years now, 160K+ miles. Love, love, love this gem of a vehicle! I wouldn't mind being buried in it.
