Diveriks Performance widebody kit
Just saw this posted on their Facebook page as an upcoming kit. I'm sure it won't be a lot of people's taste but I dig it. Makes me want to buy a coupe to compliment the vert

For rivet on types I definitively prefer the Clinched E82 kit.

I think it's a stretch to draw that conclusion from the concept sketches given that their other designs are riveted.

Yeah, maybe. Isn't the car pictured above a concept render though? Gotta attach the flares somehow and you can bond and blend anything

I'd say its more of a concept "sketch" than a "render". A design exercise. Literally all of their other designs are rivet on, at least that I could see on their web site.

Could be, from their given design there isn't any place that could be riveted so they'd have to add a flange to do that. I can ask the owner, I've been talking to him

)Off topic ... How are your rear flare blends holding up?

They're good, no noticeable issues. I still plan to have the bodywork once over'ed when I go to paint the car probably next spring but so far they seem okay. I'm mostly the only one that notices my own bodywork so it really only bugs me I guess. Just want it to be perfect when the time comes to paint

So what is the consensus on the bonded rear fiberglass type flares? I acquired a set of the 1M fiberglass rears, and am still deciding whether to go ahead with them. If I go ahead with them, I will panel bond them on, and also widen the wheelhousing with a metal strip, then bond to flare like most 1M metyal jobs, rather than the cutting and folding up. Seems like this approach is decent and long lasting.

I would personally like the see the rear flare even a bit more boxy. Having the horizontal part of the flare up top follow the body line a bit more I think might help here.
I think doing that would make it look a bit more old school like the horizontal rear flare on the E30 M3 or Audi Quattro or other cars like that. |

The Doerr cars though? Better than a 1M. Did one black and one red and I've been lusting ever since. Pipe dream.
