09 bmw 128i OBD2 Connection issue.
So don't know if this is the right place to ask this but it's an urgent issue. Recently I had to bleed my coolant and let it to do the bleeding process overnight. Me not thinking of it much I woke up in the morning and to my surprise the battery was completely dead. So I charged it all day and night. The next day I had a dash filled with codes from the battery being dead, along with that a non functional gauge cluster. When I went to hook up my code reader to clear all the codes it wouldn't read the car. So I manually selected it and it still would read anything on the car. Anytime I try to preform a function it comes up with a communication error. To make it clear the code reader gets power through the OBD2 reader. When I select the car and try to preform any function like reading the codes it comes up with a communication error, I checked the port itself and all the pins look to be intake and there don't seem to be any damaged wires. Don't know what to do next and urgently need an answer, thank you!
