Long cranks after filling up - CEL and 2A1A code

In between replacing my fuel pump's o-ring and then the fuel pump itself to resolve fuel odor after fillup problems (https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1416681) I am now experiencing severe long cranks after filling the tank up. When I go to start the engine it cranks for what seems like 7 seconds or more; as time goes on the frequency, pitch and intensity of the crank increases until finally the car turns over roughly. Only does this if I fill up to or very close to a full tank.

CEL and code 2A1A show up shortly after.
Car had its tank vent valve replaced probably 8 years and 150,000kms ago.
Time to replace again or different problem? Again started happening immediately after replacing the o-ring for my fuel pump (later the whole fuel pump was replaced).

2008 128i with 209,000kms as of this writing. Any suggestions on what the problem might be are appreciated.

Replaced the tank vent valve and it fixed it. Don't know why it went in the process but I guess it did (or it was some bizarre coincidence).
