Headlight Install Problems. (depo v2)
Hey guys, so I'm super new to the forum and even newer to buying aftermarket parts. I purchased new headlights for my 2009 128i and sent it to my mechanic for an install. However, my car has been sitting there for a couple of days because the turn signal socket isn't fitting into the new headlights. When I bought my car it came with some random aftermarket headlights, Junyan headlights I think. I'm not sure if this is causing the socket to not fit right, or something else. My mechanic has tried a few different sockets but with no luck. If anyone would have any insight as to what I need to do/ what I need to buy to fix this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks -p |

Did you purchase BMW headlights, or OEM? You can check on www.realoem.com to make sure you bought the right BMW part number. You could take them to your dealer to get new sockets for the bulbs if the originals were replaced.

The aftermarket headlights that were on your car probably had different sockets.
I put the Depo V2's on my car, but used the sockets out of my old OEM Headlights. You can get the sockets on ECS for less than $20 each.
