The published 1M reviews have been universally positive. This plus the rarity of the car will make it a real collectable car.

Dont forget that dealers get ~7% of the cars' value back in CSI. That plus $500 plus whatever they make on my trade in seems fair to me!

Unless they've received another, I am under the assumption that I have the only Charlottesville, VA allocation. Deposit down since December of last year, and only bumped into the slot because the one ahead of me found an earlier build elsewhere, and because I'm keeping it local. If they've got another slot, however, good on them! Very nice dealership to work with.

I just gave up my spot at Sun Motorcars BMW in PA (I'm working with another dealer). I think there was one person behind me the last I spoke with them, but maybe the spot is open now.

We never discussed final price, but it was at least MSRP when I originally deposited a long time ago.

Scott Holl would be the contact there.

2 ) Kimberly BMW of Davenport, Iowa - Asking $5K over MSRP. Future Allocation (M3 Adjuster)

3) BMW of Eugene, Oregon- Contact Sam Hill. This is for a fall allocation anticipated (M3 Adjuster) Sam Hill says they have a couple people already on a waiting list and would accept another person for a deposit of $1,000 (Texas F1)

4) Townsend BMW in Tuscaloosa, Alabama- Fall allocation anticipated (M3 Adjuster) HOWEVER member "Texas F1" reports he contacted a Mr. Jason Bell at the dealer who says they have no allocation currently available.

5) Tri Cities BMW in Richland, Washington- Contact Justin Miller. Mention "M3 Adjuster". No current allocation although they expect one. No one is currently in line. (M3 Adjuster)

6) BMW of Charlottesville, Virginia- Had an available Fall allocation at MSRP as of 6 weeks ago or so. Contact Phil Marx. (MDORPHIN)

7) Inskip BMW of Warwick, RI - 1 Open Allocation available. Contact Rick Dumont. 401-821-1510

Cars Available

1) Classic BMW in Willoughby, Ohio- This dealer says they just sold their open allocation but I guess today they just got in a BSM 1M fully loaded. They are asking MSRP+$2,500

2) Tomkinson BMW in Fort Wayne, Indiana- They have one on order that will be available in December and are asking [MSRP for local buyers, $5,000 over MSRP for non-local buyers]. Contact Sarah Gavin.

3) Habberstad BMW in Bay Shore, New York- Velocity Orange listed here on eBay. Not sure what the "buy-it-now" price would be but give them a call if you're interested... or just bid!

4) A&L Motors in Monroeville, PA- Will be receiving an Alpine White fully loaded model. Selling over sticker (of course) but no sure how much. Contact the dealership for further info.

I'll post more as I know them because we're on some waiting lists and the like.

If you have information you want to contribute, PM me or post it here and I'll edit the list to reflect current information.

Good luck in your hunt!

Added to list.

Interesting. I am about 30 miles from Fort Wayne--haven't been over there in a while.

Any idea on the color combo of this baby?

when I called on July 01, this was for an allocation that could be built and spec'd to order.
One of the two people I sent this to replied over the weekend. He indicated that even though he is an Indiana resident, they were still asking over MSRP, and then told him it was sold when he made a counter offer.

here is what happened (in his words)

" I e-mailed them on the 4th and talked to them on the 5th. They told me it was still available at $5k over MSRP. I told them I was looking to pay MSRP. I committed to have them service the car. They came back to me with $2.5k over MSRP and a $1k coupon for a future purchase. They were very couteous and professional. I told them I wanted to think about it and would call them the next day. When I called back, I told them that I would not be interested in paying over MSRP. They said they had sold it prior to my calling. "

It's possible that the other Indiana resident I sent this to got the spot, but that person has not replied back to me. . The rep I spoke to seemed to be confident that if it did not sell over MSRP that they could spec it out and sell it later off the floor, and that it wold be great for foot traffic as they are a small dealer. If you are that close, it certainly would be worth a call to confirm what ocurred.

Yeah I called too and I'm local to WA. That's BS and I have heard bad things about Tim Bush as well wish BMW wasn't making this so hard to get. Why not make it for another year and recoup more of the R/D from producing it? Whatever I guess I'll stick to my LSB E46 M3 for now.

So with this car effectively being "sold out", do you think there will be bidding wars for anything that's left?

There is too much "hype" for the car currently to tell. I think dealers are taking advantage to make as much money as possible. I would say just hold off until you find one or jump in line.
