What's the deal with NNR Coilovers?
Hey guys! I got some NNR coilovers for my 128i as a Christmas gift, and I attempted to install them today. The adjustment perch for the rear spring definitely wouldn't fit with the top rubber spring boot. There was physically no way for me to install the rear springs with the adjustment perch. I reached out to the seller and he explained to me that he has sold plenty before and never had any issues. Do you have NNR coils, or do you know anyone who does? I'm in kind of a pinch here, because he charges a pretty high restocking fee +what it will cost to ship a 50lb box back.
side note: These are confirmed to fit a 2011 BMW 128i, but I see no possible way they will fit. He assures me he didn't send the wrong parts. Should I still be paying those fees? I feel that should be on him for incorrectly labeling which vehicles they will fit. Can't you remove the adjustment perch the piece on the spring in the picture and fit it to the other piece provided? That pointed part should go into the frame there is a hole and then the spring should sit flush. It's hard to tell in your picture if this is the case. When I installed my Ohlins that is how it worked.
Hope this helps, and good luck! I've also not heard of this brand maybe it is best to return and save a bit more and get a Bilstein kit through they start around 1k for the B14 kit. |
