Choetech quick-charge wireless charger

Hi. While I know that Inbay makes that pretty slick looking wireless charging insert for our center consoles, the speed/tech is already outdated, it’s $120, and my iPhone XS is slightly larger than the recommended dimensions, so I went looking for something else.

This $20 Choetech fits the bill. I thought I’d have to secure it to the console, but its rubber back seems to keep it in place so far. Plus, it’s quick-charging and has three coils, so the phone can slide back and forth a bit and still find the charge. If I keep it long term, I may make a hole to run the cable.

Also, you need a QuickCharge 3.0 USB adapter for the cigarette lighter.

Run the cable out the passenger side.
In the case it does come flying out, it'won't interfere with your feet, accelerator peddle, etc.

Yeah, I’m actually going to drill out the little hole a bit that’s already under the rubber mat and run the wire. Yesterday I went on a spirited, windy road drive and the charger/phone didn’t budge.

I lifted the rubber pad in the bottom of the tray, routed out the hole on the left a bit to allow a USB through, ran the wire, and replaced the rubber pad. I may cut a notch in the pad.

Would it work if you put the rubber pad on top of the charger?

Probably, but it hasn’t been necessary. The top of the charger is a bit of a rubbery material itself, and I haven’t had issue with the phone flying out of the cubby.
