I can't wait to see the anodized version too. It looks like you did an amazing job. Did you incorporate a breather vent? I'll give you a ring soon Peter to discuss all the details |

Hi All - It is my car that it is fitted to.
The first one in an e82 Advan have done a fantastic job. The tank is beautifully made, fits like a glove and is a fantastic solution to a problem that was really making me start to panic having the meth in the washer bottle. The flush mounted cap is awesome. I was going to ask for it to be anodised black to match the paintwork but I actually really like the look of it in its raw state. Place your orders now as I expect there will be a waiting list! Cheers |

the "breather vent" is incorporated into the "Aero 300" cap, the relief valve is a function of the centre pin. I'm not sure if Pete will be anodising any future tanks, as the anodising process is costly when doing a one-off and the facility that did the E92 tank that I recently sent to the US, was a pain to deal with to say the least. If we had 4 or 5 tanks to do at once it wouldn't be as much of a problem, the cost would also be a lot more reasonable. I believe he's considering going from 2.5 mm to 3 mm aluminium sheet to negate any concerns with Meth' induced corrosion. For those guys that are not too keen on the raw look, black powder coating of the tank looks quite good too and it's cost effective. Lastly Vinney could you please relay your average and maximum oil temps during your recent track day, I have a few potential customers that are looking for some real world track data of our Stage 2 oil cooler kit. Cheers, JD. Last edited by Justin@ADVAN Performance; 06-12-2012 at 09:41 AM.. Reason: Typo |

Hi Vinney, thanks for the oil temperature track data, much appreciated. I am pleased to hear your oil temps were significantly lower, following the installation of our stage 2 kit. Obviously the much cooler ambient conditions would have been of benefit too. Do you happen to recall what were the maximum and average oil temps you saw at your previous track day pre-oil cooler install? Lastly how much power would you estimate, your little beasty was making on the most recent track day? Cheers, JD. Last edited by Justin@ADVAN Performance; 06-16-2012 at 06:09 PM.. Reason: Typo |

Can you confirm if the anodizing option will anodize the inside of the tank as well as the outside? Were there any issues with the resizing the tank for added clearance and incorporating the breather vent with pipe outlet? Also, how much to ship to Brisbane? Cheers Vinney |

The prototype template tank has already received all the necessary updates. So from now on we will use a different type of vent system with a roll over valve for both the E92 & E82 tanks just for added safety. The anodizing is inside and out but does take around a week to do, the shipping charge will be $20.00. regards Peter |

Hey Vinney,
I know you are super keen on an anodised tank, so here are a few pics of the E92 tank that was received by a US customer. Peter took some nice pics of the tank prior to it shipping to the US, but he still needs to grab those from his camera. Cheers, JD. |
