does it matter if i switch to sport mode while in the middle of driving in automatic is it bad for the car if i switch back and forth while driving?

I don't have an auto so I'm not speaking from personal experience, but I think you'll be just fine switching from one to the other whenever you want. Otherwise, BMW probably would have locked out the ability to switch while the car is in motion. You should RTFM if you want to be sure.

Nope, you'll be just fine. You'll notice a likely upshift once you go to sport depending on your speed etc. I do it all the time if I need a bit sharper response or just for a hell of it

yeah cause when im on the highway is the main time i use sport so i shift to it then and shift off it later on so i was wondering if anything would happen because it doesnt feel like it would be the best thing for your car

+1. I do it all the time. It's really useful for passing, especially in the 128i where you don't have that extra low-end grunt.

do not do this under any circumstances. your car could ignite spontaniously and burn. when the ashes clear, a new 135i will appear, but this time with a stick shift.
