The white "Attention" sticker was easy to place.

On a side note, I ordered 5 sets of OEM stickers from ESC tuning for members who are missing theirs. You can have the OEM PPK sticker or the 6-language "attention" spark plug stickers. Or you can have both. With the shipping discount from ECS, I can sell you both stickers at my cost for $30 total. They have to come from Germany, so it'll be a few weeks before I have them. Send me a PM if you're interested and I'll put you on the list. I only ordered 5 sets, but can order more if needed. So let me know.

Hey guys. I ordered 5 sets of stickers/PPK badges from ECS Tuning for forum members who didn't get these stickers with their IS. They had to come from Germany, but they're finally here. As of now, 4 are sold. I have one set left. For $30, you get the 6-language stickers and the PPK badge. PM me if you want the last one!

The last set has sold. But I can always order more, especially now that we know the correct part numbers & prices, etc. If you do want a set, feel free to PM me. Once I get about 5 more interested members, then I can order more. Feel free to contact me any time.

If you read the thread you'll see that it was worked out that 586 coupes were sent to the US. Your VIN should be in the list.

I unfortunately am unable to read, and am sensitive to it being pointed out, but I was in no way shape or form under the impression that an 'is' badge was a rare thing. Now I need to go down, verify my VIN, and take a gander. Weird. This whim buy is getting more and more annoying because there are way too many minute variations over the course of the 1 series.

E36/8 - a cd changer, and heated seats, which may actually have been standard, were all you had to worry about beyond the HK audio system. And that didn't matter since it was just as awful, if not more so, than the stock option as far as audio fidelity is concerned. Sure, business class head unit on the earlier models, but that usually means your dealer didn't throw in a cd changer because of the stock cassette head.

Whatever. My point is that this is all overwhelming in regards to trying to learn what's what with the E82 nonsense. Shoulda bought a bobsled.

We can help you cheat. =) What in particular are you looking to find out? What it is that makes the "is" different than a normal 135? Or just generally about the various options and such.

If just in general the specific differences between an "is" and a normal 135, I can probably give the full list or track down the press release which I may have somewhere or lurking on a thread as it discusses what the "is" is which grammatically looks horrible. The one sentence version is BMW just raided all their aftermarket performance parts bin for the 135, threw them all on a 135 with the m sport package, and made the bundle deal a nice value buy as it's much cheaper than had you bought them all separately...as a final hoorah and farewell to the 135i.

Eh, cheating is fine if you're taking exams for finals, but I'd only be CHEATING MYSELF (hahaha, right?) if I didn't just keep absorbing bits here and there. I already know the 135i and the 135is differ because is' have an "s" standing for "sucker."

Never mind, being ignorant is already my forte. Cheat me up on all the stuff you mentioned, such as the press release made by a German's "making the better of use for ze English language" and an intern that can use the Interweb. Please, and danke very much.

Total series 1

So let's keep it simple: how many 128i and 135i from first car produced to last car produced?

I think you would have to call BMW NA's archive department for that answer.

Guess here's your answer! Though not broken down into 128 and 135.

Interesting factoid, everybody. A friend of mine pointed out the cover of the June '13 issue of Bimmer features a 135is. Guess what? It's my car! Good ol' #11(?)! I guess I need to hang on to those plates as a certificate of authenticity.

My baby has been a centerfold and a cover girl! Yay!

Haha, this is kinda like your friend showing you some porn your current girlfriend did. "Baby! It was before I met you!"

In that case, I fondled her last June at a barnes & noble in san francisco. Here's the evidence of said fondling, though it left me somewhat unsatisfied since mine was DCT, with tech package, and michelin PSS, so the article didn't apply as much to me and my special lady friend.

Well, I'd just gotten my car a few weeks before and was on a trip and longing for my new baby and knew about the article from the board. I'm just recycling my old picture.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...825806&page=12

And yet we're still waiting for IEDEI to post the article online. =P <checks watch> Didn't matter to me of course cause I'd already read it, but still.

You can still buy the actual issue directly from Bimmer for $10 or on Amazon for $5.99 + $3.99 shipping:

http://www.bimmer-mag.com/issues?page=2

http://www.amazon.com/Bimmer-Magazin...qid=1395715214

I can pretty much sum up the article for you though and Chunner, I don't think it'll do that much for you.

Basically it's saying that the 135is is a dying breed and the last of the pure driving BMWs - when it is a manual...and doesn't have the tech package. And it blasts one of the major problems with the car as the awful runflats. So, if you have a DCT and you have the tech package, the article doesn't like you or quite apply apparently.

So, I think if you have a stick with no tech package, it'll resonate and have more value to the reader/owner, whereas to someone like myself (DCT, Tech Package, PSS) my only take home message was to reconfirm what I already know/feel - it's a great car and the runflats suck. Just my 2 cents.

Save the $10 on the magazine and buy a set of 225/255 PSS for spring to handle all that extra power.
