You're driving a 128i in STX, a class where 255 is the tire limit. You're not in STU, where other cars can run a 285. For perspective, would you be as fast if you could only run a 225 on your car?
Lifting a tire is a function of a big front bar, you know that.

You said "not enough tire" and talked about your preference of the Civic. You can balance the car very easily with 255s.
Lifting a tire is a function of available droop travel in the shock, not bar roll stiffness. Kyle and I run very small front bars compared to most autocross cars, contributing rather small amounts to the roll stiffness compared to the spring. |

Fwiw, I am confident a 135 in STU would be an absolute max of .5 seconds back from the top dogs in class. It'll out accelerate the other 2wd cars, out sweep AWD, and is probably the best car transitionally other than a Mazdaspeed Miata.
Could definitely get one on the podium at Nationals with a good drive. |

Not in ST, no UD/BD.
I don't understand your question though. What is 3SM? The N51 manifold? If so, correct, whole engine has to be as delivered w/factory tolerances, aside from those specifically set aside in the ruleset. It would be legal in Street Prepared. |

That, and simply a 3-Stage Intake Manifold cannot be swapped out due to the rule in ST that states you cannot change manifolds.

One rule says you can (N52K from the 330i) One rule says you can't. So what does the back date rule apply to? Any way to get clarification? |

Can you quote the rules you're specifying?
Why is it silly? Look at what other cars gain (and how expensive they become to prep) when UD/BD is allowed. Cars like a CSP Miata effectively require buying two cars. There are already *way* too many allowances in ST that result in very expensive builds. Kyle and I are both not pursuing probably ~30% or more of available allowances. |

They're the same. I've got a front for sale, if that's what you're looking for.
It depends upon the rest of your setup, whether or not it is the "right" answer. I would go with offset camber bushings rather than the M3 arms. Cheaper, and adjustable. |

Just seems to me your discouraged when you know there is more work to be done. Lewis Hamilton went from being almost 50pts down to first place in Formula 1, you're not even that far back and still have time to make up ground. |

I left time on the table, though I shouldn't have. Looking at the course it was my weekend to win, and do that easily. Clearly that didn't shape out that way. New tune won't be coming until end of season most likely...the throttle application should improve. Can't do more camber up front, nor do I think I need it. I don't want to go with toe out or excessive toe out |

No. You can fit 245 front at stock offset. (I was able to get 275 rear by increasing offset by 3mm - but as stated this is probably not necessary.) 245 square is probably a good Fstreet setup.

Good luck to everyone who's at nationals! I'm guessing KGolf and RyanDavies are there? Looking forward to seeing some videos as well
